Kom bort från allt på Big Sky Guest House. Big Sky Guest House ligger 15 km från centrala Fredericksburg, och är den perfekta platsen för att komma undan stressen i vardagen. Den enda trafikstockning som du upplever här är när de lokala kor, getter eller får bestämmer gräset är verkligen grönare på andra sidan!

Ta med dig ditt teleskop eller din kamera för att njuta av en natthimmel som är orörd av ljuset i storstaden eller bara sitta ute på verandan med drycken som du väljer och dricka den med dina ögon. På morgonen kan du njuta av en kopp kaffe eller te på baksidan medan du tittar på att solen kommer upp till naturens ljud och känner att stressen smälter bort.

Att åka motorcykel eller cykel? Våra bakvägar erbjuder en vacker åktur, med 8. 3 miles till Highway 87 och 8. 7 miles to Highway 290. För vandrare är vi bara en kort bilresa (22 miles) till Enchanted Rock.

Om du bestämmer dig för att du behöver lite mer spänning (och levande musik) är Hilltop Cafe bara 10 miles bort och på 20 minuter kan du njuta av brisket mac och ost på Hondos. Fredericksburg erbjuder en mängd olika shoppingmöjligheter, Nationalmuseet för Stilla Kriget och många utsökta restauranger. Flera vingårdar och destillerier ligger inom en kort bilresa, och du kan inte sakna att gå till Luckenbach för någon levande musik på danshallen!

Big Sky Guest House ligger på en 28 hektar stor ranch med två bosatta Texas Longhorns. Andra vilda djur kan du se: hökar, kolibrier, målade buntings och andra sångfåglar, vilda kalkoner, vita tailed hjortar, räv och armadillos. Du kommer också att se och höra de inte så vilda getter, får, kor, lamaer och åsnor på närliggande rancher.

Den rustika, tak med tak på taket erbjuder:

1 badrum med duschkabin och alla handdukar, schampo, kroppsvask och balsam;

Beautiful and peaceful

We loved our stay at the Big Sky Guest house, the area is quiet and serene, far enough from hustle and bustle but close enough to get to town quickly. Hosts communicated well and provided everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Absolute Serenity

This house was super clean, smelled amazing, and so welcoming. We had everything we needed plus some. Had coffee watching the Longhorns graze every morning. It was such a peaceful place to stay. The owners Eric and Jenny welcomed us personally which was such a nice touch. Will definitely be staying here again!

Thanksgiving Getaway

This was so surprisingly awesome. It is a perfect getaway from suburban life. The owners made us feel like family. The guest house is on their property but far enough away that you feel on your own piece of heaven. We truly enjoy the animal life around us. We will be back (I hope).

Deep in the Heart of Texas

Cottage tucked away in the hills outstanding service, amazing accommodations, and outstanding star gazing views. Never imagine going to bed in completely in silence, while waking up to the sound of counting sheep’s. Priceless!

Came for Oktoberfest, will come back for the breathtaking sky and amazing hosts.

The home is so inviting and comfortable. We really enjoyed our weekend at the property. We spent Saturday in Fredricksburg at Oktoberfest, the drive into town is fun with the winding roads, views and animal sightings. While at the property our family had fun watching and talking to Rocky and Bullwinkle. We also brought our telescope along and were not disappointed with what we could see. The sky is beautiful. Jenny and Eric went above and beyond. We were celebrating our 13 yo birthday and they decorated the table with balloons and flowers, gave her a card and her favorite dessert. She definitely felt special!! They even sent us easy to follow directions. Thank you for being a part of our fantastic weekend getaway.

Beautiful cottage with milky way view

We had a wonderful times staying here for the weekend. Eric and Jennie are very nice host. The cottage is charming, very clean, beautiful sunrise view and you have a beautiful vie of the stars in the night. The check in and check out time are very generous. Will definetely comeback. Cell receptions are very spotty but the wifi are good in the cottage.

Wonderful Hosts and Property

We loved our stay. It was the perfect location for us we had family about 5 miles away. The property was immaculately clean and they provided many great items. They had coffee, toiletries and even made us ice and put water in the fridge. We loved the view, fire pit and longhorn cows walking around. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Overall it was just a great experience.

Eric and Jenny's guest house is an extremely nice, very comfortable place to stay while exploring Texas hill country and local wineries. They are amazing hosts and excellent communicators about everything related to the stay and the area. We had lots of questions which they very promptly answered. We would highly recommend Eric and Jenny's guest house to anyone wanting to spend some time exploring Texas hill country and enjoy some peace and quiet!

Stars and Longhorns

We really enjoyed our stay! The kids loved seeing the longhorns walking around close by. We got to relax and enjoy the scenery by the fire pit. With the clear sky, the stars are so pretty! The house has ample space and games inside. My daughter loved making hot chocolate in the coffee maker, so it was great that was an option! We liked chatting with Eric and Jenny when we saw them. It is about 25 minutes to town, but there are a lot of animals to see on the drive!

Great long weekend!

We drove in with our three littles from Houston for a long weekend. The drive is fun as there is a lot of livestock to see that entertained the kids on the country roads. The hosts were very gracious with things like bottled water and firewood and were extremely great communicators prior to and throughout the stay. We enjoyed walking the property with the kids and long camp fires in the evening. We had a great time!

The property is gorgeous, and the hosts were beyond kind and accommodating. The guest house has most items you would need to have a comfortable stay, and there's two extremely cute longhorns who live on the ranch that will come by and say hello in the mornings. I really appreciated some of the little touches provided in the home, such as, little bottles of shampoo/conditioner, makeup removal wipes. Small amenities that just made our stay a little easier. Enchanted rock is about a 35 minute drive away, and there's plenty to eat and drink in Fredericksburg which is about 20-30 minutes away. This is a working ranch that is surrounded by another working ranch, so be cautious driving in or out as there are livestock roaming but it was fun to see sheep, goats, and cattle hanging around just doing their thing. I highly recommend this location, and I will be staying here if I make it back to Fredericksburg in the future.

Outstanding

I’m a seasoned “VRBO-ER” and this is the best experience we’ve had. Guest house was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and exactly as pictured and described. Our hosts were super! They helped us with things to do, added a night to our stay on the day we were scheduled to leave, and most importantly, when a nasty spring storm rolled in they texted us several times to make sure we were ok. Thanks Eric and Jenny! We hope to make a second trip.

Exceptional Getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Big Sky Guest House. Beautiful updated cabin with great accommodations. Loved the Longhorns, Hummingbirds and deer. Eric &!Jenny kept us updated with events in the area and property rules prior to our stay. If you want a quiet stay on a beautiful ranch this will be a great pic.
