At one point, the service was nonexistent. I need to switch rooms due to several issues: the sheets were dirty, there was a dead bug in the light fixture, the showerhead sprayed water everywhere except where it should, the bathtub had uneven water flow, and there were bugs in the window curtains that wouldn’t close.
When night fell, I went to the front desk and waited 15 minutes for a staff member. There was only one person on duty, and he chose to step outside for a marijuana break. Additionally, the side door of the building was propped open with a lotion bottle, allowing anyone to enter at will.
I also paid an extra $10 per night for two queen beds, but I was charged $30 instead. When I spoke to the manager, he claimed the charge was processed through Canary and that he couldn’t assist. Before my arrival, I received a message from Wyndham suggesting I check in early and choose additional add-ons, which included the double beds for $10 a night.
Despite these numerous issues, management did not offer any discount or compensation for my troubles. I would never recommend this location and will not return. If you’re visiting Dover, I suggest staying elsewhere.
