The Al Bustan hotel is a great place to stay when you are in Sharjah which is another state in the UAE. Because it is another state outside of Dubai you will be required to use taxi service which is expensive due to the horrendous traffic which is an everyday occurrence. Therefore, if there is any activity that is in Dubai, and the Al Bustan Hotel is advertised on the website as a pickup location, be aware it is false advertising. The transportation service will not stop in Sharjah. There is no free shuttle bus from the hotel to Dubai. The hotel is dated but it is clean and always smells amazing. The hotel staff are friendly, courteous, and very professional. The hotel manager Ms. Kassen went above and beyond professional customer service. She is the greatest, friendly, helpful and very kind (I spelled her name wrong but she is the only woman at the front desk). The room was gigantic, cleaned every day, the rooftop pool and sauna were great. The gym was not in great shape as the treadmill was broken and the equipment old but it was clean and useful.
The only complaint I have is that the advertised international buffet breakfast was inedible, unappetizing.Each day the meal consisted of the following noodles, beans, pieces of franks, white bread, something that looked like oatmeal, watered down pineapple juice, hard boiled or scrambled eggs. One day there was French toast, which they ran out of which was the exception not rule. If you stay Sharjah, The Al Bustan is good.
