No hot water, no waterhose for toilets
Received an unexpected phone call that rudely disrupted my deep sleep for marketing purposes. Moreover, the lack of hot water in December and the absence of hoses for toilets, especially in the Middle East, are major inconveniences that significantly impact the overall experience.

Superbra frukost
Jag hade rum mot floden, vilket också är rum mot vägen men jag var inte störd av trafiken. Man kan se Burj Khalifa från balkongen. Personalen var trevlig och serviceinriktad. Bäst av allt var att de har en omelettkock vid frukosten.

Good location
The hotel is very near the small boats taking you over the canal to Souk and nice areas of Dubai. The hotel is far away from Dubai Downtown but it is easy to use the Hop-on Buses passing by the hotel. The area of the hotel is much more picturesque then downtown.

Perfekt läge i Deira.
Se till att få ett rum med utsikt mot vattnet och Dubai Creek! På kvällarna glider de färgglada o fantasifulla båtarna fram och tillbaka längs vattnet med hungriga resenärer på dinnercruise och man kan också se mäktiga Burj Khalifa resa sig mot horisonten. Rummet tycktes relativt nyrenoverat, och var välstädat varje gång vi kom hem på kvällen. Mycket serviceinriktad och vänlig personal. Den ovanliga frukostbuffen är egentligen en brunch med en hel del asiatiska och även ryska rätter men där utbudet av bröd, kakor, bullar tyvärr är undermåligt. Allra bäst är omeletten som tillagas efter beställning av tillbehören, de goda fruktjuicerna och kaffet. På detta hotell får man mycket för pengarna. Metron, som är mycket enkel att använda och dessutom billig, ligger bara några minuters promenad bort. Trots läget i Deira tar det endast ca 15 min att åka till Burg Khalifa/ Dubai mall och ca 40 min till Dubai Marina. Rekommenderas!

Perfekt läge om man vill bo i det gamla Dubai med närhet till marknaderna och abra-stationen. Mycket fin utsikt över Dubai creek, inte minst på kvällarna. Rummet var spatiöst med bekväm säng. Personalen var genomgående mycket hjälpsam och trevlig.

Bra och prisvärt hotell om du vill bo i Diera, gamla delen av Dubai alltså. Nära till närmaste metrostation och några hundra meter till röda linjen som går mot Dubai Mall m.m. Bra rymligt rum med det som behövs. Utsikt över souk är lite felvisande då det var utsikt mot ett parkeringshus och några höghus. Bra frukost i asiatisk stil med gott om varmrätter. Stort minus för att jag fick vänta 50 minuter efter incheckningstiden innan rummet var färdigstädat. Receptionen var inte heller särskilt hjälpsam när det inte gällde att sälja.

Good Deira location and good value
As a previous resident of Dubai, the hotel met all my expectations: namely being in a great location in the older part of the city, a few minutes walk from Baniyas square metro station, restaurants, supermarkets and shops of all kinds. It also was clean, friendly and helpful staff, and good value for money compared with newer hotels. The only issue is no parking, but having a car in that area is a hassle compared to using the metro and taxis. A taxi to the airport is 25-30 Dirhams and 10-15 minutes. I recommend the hotel, and want to give particular thanks to the employee who helped me round up the 10 dirhams in coins which I needed to park across the street (but not easy to find a space) on the day I checked in and before returning a car. I would definitely stay there again.

Don't waste your money
I booked a royal suite creek view with Balcony for New Year’s Eve to have good time with my girlfriend and watch the fireworks. They denied us staying at the hotel because we don’t have a marriage certificate, although the laws have changed in the UAE. When I requested a refund they rudely refused. If you book with this hotel you will be loosing your money for nothing.

Dear our Guest, First, we would like thank you for your interest in our hotel to stay for the New Year’s Eve, as well we apologize that we couldn't meet your expectations, you have booked our royal suite for a single person but upon check in we had been surprised that you were claiming that the booking is for two persons you and your girlfriend which was not matching with the number of persons for the booked room, our front office team politely and professionally asked you to provide us a marriage proof as per our hotel's policy in order to proceed the check-in process but you have denied this request, that's why we couldn't proceed the check-in or the booking costs refund requested due to your booking non-refundable cancellation policy.Looking forward to welcoming you again at RIVIERA HOTEL DUBAI

チェックインがスムーズでした。リバービューもいい感じでブルジュカリファも遠くに見えます。更に夜はボートがライトアップされてカラフル。賑やかな通りに面しておりテラスにでると騒がしいが窓を閉めるとほとんど気にならない。近くにスーパーもあり買い物に便利。欠点はシャワーの温度がMAXにしても低い。日本人には厳しいと思う。

Staff was excellent Location was perfect Hotel was good. Only thing I was unhappy was that I had booked car from hotel to be picked from airport as we landed around 2 am and I thought it be more economical. To my surprise I found that it cost only around 30 AED vs 80 AED I was charged.
