Bekväm bottenvåning med fantastisk utsikt över kusten, Glencaple.

Minsta vistelse tre nätter. The Flat at Glencaple erbjuder mycket bekväma och mysiga bottenvåningar för två i hjärtat av byn. Det byggdes i början av 1800-talet och har renoverats till mycket hög standard. Vardagsrummet har en vedspis samt effektiv elvärme så att du blir varm och mysig. Härlig utsikt över floden från vardagsrummet och sovrummet. Gratis WiFi finns tillgängligt. Beläget på Burns och Solway Coast Heritage Trails är det bara några miles från Wildfowl and Wetlands Reserve vid Caerlaverock. På vintern flyger Barnacle-gäss förbi ditt fönster morgon och kväll och andra gäss, fåglar och ankor kan ses på floden. Otters upptäcks ofta i närheten och på sommaren har marsvin och tätningar sett på floden. Detta område är ett naturälskares paradis (BBC: s "Autumn Watch" -sändning härifrån 2015). Också väl placerat för skonsam promenader, cykling, fiske, sightseeing och avkoppling. Härliga stränder ligger bara en halvtimmes bilresa bort och Caerlaverock Castle ligger precis uppför vägen.

Glencaple har ett nytt och mycket upptaget kafé och butik (The Boathouse) och ett populärt hotell (The Nith) som serverar luncher och middagar året runt - båda precis runt hörnet från lägenheten. Gå till www. Caerlaverrock. org. Storbritannien för mer information om området.

Good little cottage

We enjoyed our stay in the little apartment. It was in a great location for exploring the local area. It was well stocked with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The only thing that let it down was that some of the crockery was quite worn & chipped. We had to wash it all before use as there were still remnants from previous guest's food which was disappointing.

Excellent apartment

Lovely location and awesome views. Property was very comfortable and cosy. We're allergic to feathers so Sue made sure there were no issues. She took great care to think of our wellbeing. We are an older couple so comfort and ease of getting around the flat are important to us. The flat was well equipped and tastefully decorated. Thanks fir a lovely stay.

Nice for two

Nice wee flat with bonus of having a sunny little garden at the back. Didn't need to use the burner at this time of year but bet it will make the place very cosy and snug in Winter.The bed felt very hard but was surprisingly comfortable!

Great Cottage, Relaxing Location

We arrived at the cottage at the tail end of a 3 week trip in Scotland and I was coming down with an illness. But staying in the quiet and well appointed row house was the antidote I needed: super quiet; great kitchen, bed, and garden. We would absolutely book again. Caeleverlock Castle was fabulous.

Glencaple holiday

We had the most beautiful stay in Sues flat! Location was so perfect, near the pub and the cafe, and walk out the door and there are stunning views all day, but amazing sunrises. Also only a short drive into Dumfries for any shopping. The flat was very spacious for the two of us and it had everything we needed! Thanks for having us Sue, will definitely recommend this place and be back again!

This is a lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. Everything is there that you need and it all works. How many cottages have we stayed in with no matches! Not that we needed them in this case, but it was good to see that there were 2 boxes there just in case.

Great choice of property!

We were looking for a place to stay to enable us to visit the South West Coast in Dumfries & Galloway and also visit friends in Langholm. The Flat was perfect. Great location, all the necessary facilities, cosy and comfy, we slept well and relaxed during our stay. Lots of storage, kitchen equipment and comfy sitting room and heating. The flat was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed. It is in a great location for birdwatching - lots of barnacle geese at this time of year! Breakfast at the Boathouse was excellent too. Thanks for an enjoyable stay :)

Peaceful and very comfortable

Very well equipped, comfy bed, fantastic log stove. Everything we needed really. Generous with everything, even spare light bulbs and batteries in the cupboard if we needed them.
