Great secluded cabin. Used this as base for an extended weekend of hiking and relaxing. Rocking chairs on the porch during the day and a swing in front of the fire pit at night. Grilled dinner a few nights and ate on the porch. Great location in the middle of the woods. No sound of traffic from this place. Lots of birds but no wildlife this trip. Thanks for the stay.

Quiet, Secluded Retreat

The property is in a beautiful secluded woodlands. We loved the peace and serenity! Spent lots of time on the porch enjoying the birdsong. We saw wild turkeys, deer, a phoebe nesting on the porch under the eaves, a ruffed grouse and heard an owl calling. It was so restful and we enjoyed lots of hiking also. The cabin was comfortable, the air conditioning was nice and the place suited our needs really well! We would definitely stay there again!

Peace and relaxation!

Its impressive when you get a cabin and the only thing you miss is a whisk! Even our 13 year old got off-line and spent family time. Yes, it rained but we didn't care as we still got to make a fire 2 nights. Our Akita tromped through the woods happy as a lark. Made our customary trip to The Jolly Trolly which was maybe 15 - 20 minutes. Will book again.

This property is exactly as described. Extremely clean, well maintained, secluded cabin in the peaceful, beautiful little village of Laporte. We loved our stay there & our lab did too! Thank you for sharing your little paradise with us!!

Anniversary

We saw 1 porcupine, 2 doe and 1 set of bear tracks but no bear.We caught 5 Rainbow Trout.The weather was uncooperative, cold and windy for last 2 days.

A getaway for hardy families

Want to get away from it all -- but with pleasant furniture & modern appliances? Deep in a northern forest (but within easy drive of services, we fitted in two parents, three tykes, an old man & a dog, all for a low price. Ideal for exploring nature, which is the main attraction of this county. Outdoor firepit, fully stocked, is a social center.

Short Stay

I took my mom here for a short weekend trip. We drove around and then stayed in both nights - played cards and games. The facility was great and dealing with Greg was quick to answer any questions. The place was quite cozy.

Amazing Weekend getaway

The High Rocks cabin was better than we expected! It was so secluded, you couldn’t resist living in the moment. Clean, Cozy, It was wonderful to explore Worlds End & Ricketts Glen, despite the pouring rain, and come back to warm up by the gas fire place. The owner was so accommodating to any questions we had. The only downfall, was not being able to use the bathroom base heat. It got fairly cold that weekend. We WILL be back!

Very nice cabin with private setting

We really enjoyed our stay. The privacy was awesome. The cabin was clean. We loved the covered front porch and fire pit. The only thing that was disappointing was that we were there during the week and all the museums that we wanted to visit were only open on the weekend.

Perfect and secluded

This place was the cutest! It was close enough that we were able to run to a store nearby yet so far back in the woods there was no light/sound pollution. Cell service was a bonus too!

High Rocks Cabin - wonderful from start to finish!

We spent the long Memorial Day weekend at High Rocks Cabin. This was our first trip to Sullivan County. We really could not have chosen a greater location for our stay. It was central to each place we planned to go hiking/sight-seeing. Perfectly quiet and peaceful. A true gem in the mountains! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property!
