The older man in the reception was very rude. He ignored me when I came to the desk, barely spoke to me (or my colleagues who checked in after me). We all noted he was one of the least service-minded person at a hotel we ever met.
The room I first got smelled of smoke (I had booked a smoke-free room), so I went down to change. Again, the receptionist was very unfriendly, and at first he told me there was no room available ("we are full!"). Well, unfortunately for him, I knew there was a room available since I had reserved an extra room we had not used, so I stood my ground (nicely but firmly), and told him that I could take the room reserved for NN. He did not respond but muttered to the computer while working at it. I waited quietly. After a while he said "Do not tell me how to do my job!", still not looking at me. A long while later, I finally got a new room.
Fortunately, I did not have to meet this man again. The younger female receptionists were all much more friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was very good.
