“Ideally placed for the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth, we stayed 1 night while visiting the New Forest. We were made to feel welcome, which instantly made us relaxed. The room was clean, well decorated, the bed was comfortable. The bed linen and towels felt luxurious. The weekend breakfast was excellent, we started with fresh fruit and yoghurt (cereals were also on offer) then had a full English which was cooked to perfection using good quality ingredients. ”

“The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests: - Room ("the family room"): because it was directly above the pub, we could hear music clearly through the floor until the pub closed. “We had the family suite . The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent and Rod was a lovely bloke, very friendly and welcoming. His cooked breakfast was outstanding and set us up for the day at Tankfest. Would recommend this place. ”

“Very nice place. The interior was fresh and cozy with many details. In the garden you could sit and have a drink if you didn’t want to sit in the salon Excellent breakfast. Situated in a nice area in the city, 10 minutes walk to the seafront and another 10 minutes to the pier. We appreciated the free parking inside the yard. The girls working there were nice and helpful. It was a hot day and there were no air conditioning, but the fan was quite ok.”

Met by the owner who was very friendly and helpful and shown to our room which was very pleasant and clean. A Dyson fan on the room was much appreciated on a very hot day. Comfortable bed, great shower and nice breakfast. No negatives. Would highly recommend.”
