Nice location, nice property

Overall, this was a really nice property. It was as described and the property manager was very responsive. GREAT location for access to UCONN/Rentschler Field. Would stay again. A lot of nice personal touches.

Squirrel Cottage!

This little house is tucked behind some bigger neighbors. It was comfortable and quiet! We had a ball watching the antics of a family of squirrels. It fit our needs perfectly!

Not for the clean of heart

The rental was not cleaned very well at all. You may want to bring some lysol. Other than that it was a good value. We had one issue and the host was very responsive and fixed the issue right away.

Horrible host

This host is not accommodating at all, and refuses to work with renters. Host refused to refund me when he tried to upcharge me for pets on my reservation, when I tried to cancel anyways due to the pets. Would not recommend this host

Graduation stay

It's a cute little place, cosy. It could've been a little cleaner, we were not expecting home beautiful clean. The silverware tray was kinda icky, the refrigerator didn't work and was kinda icky as well. The plastic hose for the shower head broke. My friends didn't know how to get ahold of the owner as the booking was under my name. I was unable to come with, due to a severe migraine. So getting ahold of me was hit or miss due to being heavily medicated and sleeping. Had they been able to get ahold of the owner, those problems may have been fixed. They said that other than those few things they had a great time. Also the backyard looks like it's fenced in, in the pictures, it's not. It worked for what we needed, which was a place to stay so we could see my best friends daughter graduate from highschool.

Not what expected

The property is in a neighborhood where the houses are close together to the fact that you feel like you’re pulling into the neighbor’s backyard. They have cameras recording and we weren’t there long when a man came to knock on the door. As 2 females it was not expected or any warning that it was going to happen. The check in instructions were just the code to get in. The bathroom toilet upstairs was loose and stained. There were stains in the tub and sink that were mildew. There was a portion of the tub wall missing and it looked like they cut it and put a whole different tile that stuck out about 2 inches. The air conditioners are dirty and moldy. When contacting the manager - I was told to contact vrbo for a refund. When vrbo reached out to the manager he denied to allow a refund. Never stayed in the house and it was not as advertised or I would NOT have rented it. They force you to pay a cleaning fee and damage insurance but neither would have been needed as we didn’t stay there. The owner made out as I had to spend additional money on a hotel room to ensure we were safe. I was also told that my concern was not necessary for the neighborhood as they have a neighborhood patrol 24-7. That is NOT safe is an officer is needed around the clock for a neighborhood. Also having people hanging out on the driveway that you don’t know and are watching you is not safe. Very unprofessional and inappropriate from the owners. Don’t take your chances and just stay at the Hilton.
