Exactly what we were hoping for
Three sisters and their families (youngest of the group was 22) from MA, ME, and NY. 11 people total. We’ve had a rough year, losing our dad this past winter. Wanted some time to regroup and enjoy another’s company. My family vacations often and we all agreed that it was the cleanest place we've ever stayed. Absolutely beautiful home, gorgeous kitchen, comfortable rooms and private bathrooms. Huge table by the window, used constantly for meals, impromptu card games, drawing, or whole group evening board games. The farm was a beautiful place to walk, the porch was a perfect place to sit and read. Idyllic all around. We were lucky enough to have Chef Tami prepare us dinner one evening and it was the best decision ever. Relaxing, casual, delicious, and we didn't have to do a thing- all for a price comparable to a nice dinner out. We rebooked for next year before we even left. Not one bad thing to say. Thanks to everyone at the farm, our family needed this so badly!

Stunning property great for group gatherings
We can not be more impressed with all the facilities at White Gate Farm. It starts with the staff, they’re all absolutely wonderful and helpful every step of the way. The space is perfectly clean, and so cozy on a warm or cold day (we got both). The fireplace is AMAZING. Everyone was just so happy with their experience here. We will definitely be back! P.S. Order some food from the farm! It’s out of this world!

A wonderful house in a great location
Our family of 12 stayed at White Gate for a long weekend. It was very comfortable, lovely bedrooms for sleeping peacefully and a fabulous kitchen . The pool was great for evening swims and the fireplace was amazing. The farm stand was a huge hit with prepared food, beautiful vegetables, yummy desserts and the animals to visit / hiking trails / lake for swimming, fishing, paddle boarding/ and grounds for games and equipment for games. The manager Kevin, was very helpful and always available. Our family is hoping to go again next year. White Gate farm Inn is special.

A great experience!
We had a wonderful time and the rooms were perfect for us - everyone had their own space and the large living room/dining room was an amazing gathering space for all 12 of us. Everything we needed was there and Kevin is fantastic - he made sure we were comfortable at all times. My only regret is not having the chef prepare us a dinner - we tasted the pizza in the farm store and it was the best we have ever had!!! Pauline and David are lovely and I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful inn.

White Gate Wedding
The inn and farm grounds are just beautiful. The staff were so accommodating and went well beyond what is normally expected when renting a property. The inn felt more like a home that a rental. The kitchen was so well appointed as were the rooms. Moving on to the outdoors the lake, pool fire pit, games, grill and picnic tables added up to a wonderful stay. Last but not least the staff were amazing, Tami, Kevin & Pauline - always at the ready. Always answered text messages promptly and did everything to make it the perfect wedding. Many thanks!

Family get away
The property was perfect for our annual family get together. Most of the time was spent in the pool area, which felt very safe and comfortable. It was fenced in all around, and the pool house included a bathroom, outdoor shower, refrig, and sink. The house itself provided lots of spaces to hang out, a very well supplied kitchen, and a large dining table that sat all 14 of us. Around the farm the kids enjoyed seeing the animals and the tractors. Kevin, the property manager, was very helpful when we arrived, helped us to settle in. We loved everything about the property and would consider going back again next year.

Can't wait to return next summer
We had a magical time at White Gate Farm celebrating our mother's 80th birthday. There was something for everyone in the group at the farm (fishing, pool time, visiting the animals, stargazing at night, s'mores at the fire pit--the list goes on!). We were lucky enough to have our stay occur at the same time as a meteor shower, and were treated to quite a show on our first night. Despite being remote enough to view the stars, you're still very close to town (a quick 5 minute drive) to get all the supplies you need to take advantage of the gorgeous kitchen for family dinners. Everyone we interacted with was lovely and the atmosphere of the farm was so calm and relaxing. Kevin was so helpful in orienting us to the farmhouse and was available for any questions we had during our stay.

A Fabulous Weekend!

Great property, great people.
Beautiful, well kept organic farm with plenty of property to explore. When not in the swimming pool , the lake was a big plus for the kids. Boating, paddle board, swimming. The farmhouse is spacious with room for privacy or gathering. We cooked gourmet meals in the well appointed kitchen. Would recommend White Gate Farm for any gathering.

Amazing annual family vacation
We just ended our weeklong stay at White Gate Farm, and I can't even begin to explain how much fun we had at this fantastic location. Kevin was there from start to finish, and was great helping with everything, including a fun critter tour for my three young grandchildren. We enjoy the house (fully equipped for our large group), the pool and surrounding area, including a delicious lobster boil dinner made and served in the pool area. Having a kitchen there was a bonus! We've been doing our annual family vacations since 1995, and this one ranks among the best! I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet Pauline, but Kevin took great care of us. We hope to get back to White Gate Farm again for another family trip!

Family reunion
It was a rainy weekend. A perfect, last-minute getaway
We've just returned from a fabulous stay at the White Gate farm. We happened upon this gem of a place after a last-minute change to our original plans, and the owner Pauline and onsite manager Kevin were so helpful in accommodating our large group on short notice. As three families with young children ranging from ages 2 through 8, we couldn't have asked for a better getaway. The farmhouse itself was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, and it easily accommodated all 11 of us with room to spare. We felt right at home. Beyond the lovely interior, we took full advantage of the countless outdoor amenities. There was a lovely gated pool, with diving board and a full-service pool house (incl. wifi). There were big, well-maintained front- and backyard lawns (badminton, cornhole, and boules were onsite), hiking trails, an entire lake within walking distance with both kid and adult kayaks, SUPs and lifejackets all provided; and then, there were the benefits of the bustling farm. The onsite farmstand rivals farmer's market offerings that we know from our hometowns in Boston, NYC, and DC with fresh produce, meat, baked goods, and more. Farm-to-table meals were literally within arm's reach. We even got to experience a drum circle group lesson with Kevin. Clearly, we're enamored and share this enthusiastic review with appreciation for the hosts' cultivation of this special place.

Coast Guard Graduation
It was an amazing experience and we felt very lucky to stay at this special place. The Inn was lovely! We enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing the plantings and the chickens and the sheep! The farmers market on Saturday had such great options...the wood fired pizza is a must! Pauline and Keven are lovely hosts. Pauline was great to deal with and so kind! Kevin is the care taker and helped us with many things! I highly recommend this amazing place!!

Relaxing Spring Vacation
Our stay at the inn at White Gate Farm was very relaxing and fun. Four adults, 3 teenagers and my mini Goldendoodle had ample room for privacy and socialization. The home is very clean and everything is well stocked. Kevin, inn manager, is very helpful. The farm tour was nice too. My kids played badminton every day. One of my kids has severe food allergies and he did well in the home. We purchased some entrees, desserts, produce and eggs from the farmers market as well. One suggestion is to add a separate washer and dryer to inn. Thank you Pauline!

Our stay at White Gate Farm was a dream!
We can’t recommend White Gate Farm enough - we rented the inn house for a special long weekend celebration w family and friends. The house is beautiful and clean; the kitchen amazing; the grounds beautiful; the staff truly welcoming and wonderful; the kids loved the farm animals, lawn games, pool and kayaking in the lake. We lucked out and we’re there for two of their community dinner events which were delicious and relaxed. Ordered from the farm shop and they stocked the fridge wi try our purchases. And had a special family style feast prepared by chef Tami for our special celebration. Truly from start to finish an unforgettable experience.

The perfect place for a long family weekend!
We booked the farmhouse inn for my family to stay at for our wedding weekend in September 2022 and we couldn't have asked for a better more accommodating stay. White Gate Farm is a must
We didn’t want to leave…the Inn at White Gate Farm was a perfect vacation for our family. The Inn has 7 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms - there was plenty of room for the 10 family members who stayed. The huge kitchen was perfect for our cooking needs and the living room/dining room fit us all plus other family members who came for a day. And that is just inside. The pool was great as was kayaking on the lake. The grounds are beautiful for exploring and the children enjoyed the animals. When we arrived on Saturday we were able to visit the Farm Market and there was a open party with music and food which we thoroughly enjoyed. Kevin greeted us upon our arrival and was on hand throughout. I can’t say enough good things about - it’s a must stay VRBO

The perfect family getaway
This property was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of space, nicely spread out, tons of activities for the kids and adults. I traveled with 11 people, including 5 kids between 2 and 8. We ran in the big open yard, swam all day, kayaked at the lake, and enjoyed our time with the property manager, Kevin. The Inn has a classic farm feel, with modern amenities. The kitchen was perfect for the many meals we made together, and we also made good use of the outdoor grill (and pool house kitchen.) As suspected, my kids were more interested in farm animals than they ever would have been at an amusement park, so this choice was perfect. Thank you to all the wonderful people at White Gate Farm for making our stay so enjoyable!

Amazing property and experience

Amazing Family Reunion for a Wedding at Whitegate Farm
Whitegate Farm is an amazing place for a family reunion as it meets the needs of everyone in our group ranging in age from 10 to 80 years old. The Innkeeper, Kevin, was extremely hospitable, helpful, courteous and went the extra mile to make sure everyone had a great time. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, clean and well maintained. The kitchen is brand new with high end appliances. The grounds are beautiful and was able to accommodate a large gathering with activities such as badminton, corn hole, soccer, etc. The swimming pool was used by all and access to the lake with kayaks and paddle boards available provided endless fun on a beautiful lake for everyone. The Fun-Fest on premise every Saturday was a bonus as we were able to purchase delicious sour dough pizza made in a brick oven on the premises along with fresh sushi made by the in residence chef. For those interested in hosting a dinner, the on premise chef is amazing and can work with you to create a custom meal for your party. The owner, Pauline, was very responsive and willing to work with us to accommodate our needs. I would give Whitegate Farms 10 stars if I could.

Relaxing and restoring family vacation
Our family had a lovely stay at the White Gate Inn. The Inn and the farm's grounds are beautiful. The accommodations were very comfortable for our multigenerational family (ages 4-76 + one pet bunny). Everyone loved the heated pool and kayaking at the lake. It was a joy cooking together in the Inn's well-equipped kitchen. Our hosts Kevin and Pauline were super--setting us up with everything we needed for a campfire, lawn games, fishing, and a tour of the farm. We enjoyed a special meal prepared by Chef Tami and lots of yummy produce and treats from White Gate's farm stand. We left the farm feeling rested and restored. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

Great family get away
The property was just what we hoped for and lived up to the VRBO listing. We took the tour of the farm and met the chickens, lambs and baby turkeys much to the delight of our grandchildren. The size and layout afforded plenty of room for privacy and quiet areas for adult children to rest and relax. Great bedrooms and private baths made for hassle free bedtimes and accommodated different schedules. We had a great time and hated to leave!

White Gate Weekend
We had a wonderful weekend at White Gate Farm. Kevin, the Property Manager, welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house, the property and the lake which was very helpful. Tami, the Chef, prepared a delicious Farm to Table meal that we arranged with her the previous week. She was attentive to our family's special allergy needs. The heated pool was fabulous for the kids and everyone. Pauline, the owner, gave us a tour of the farm and we especially enjoyed the chicks and the lambs which the little kids and adults enjoyed feeding. The setting is picturesque and the house was perfect with many rooms to relax including the large living room with a baby grand piano which we musicians enjoyed immensely. The modern kitchen is great for big families like ours. White Gate Farm was a terrific place for our family to be together and have fun.

Awesome Stay
We rented the inn for a family wedding that was off site. We had two events on the grounds of the inn under a tent that the inn helped us to arrange. One night they made amazing wood fired oven pizzas for 50 of our guests. The inn is spacious and has a lot of beautiful common areas. The grounds of the inn are within a working farm and we enjoyed the products that were made in the farm store. The catering director Tami and the property manager were always available and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and satisfied. I cannot say enough about the wonderful stay that we had at the inn.

Perfect!
The house was perfect for our daughter's graduation weekend, hosting a large family group from out of town. Communication with Pauline and Kevin was never an issue, and all of our questions and requests were answered quickly. The place is big enough that even with a large group, you can find a quiet spot to relax. We had a cookout dinner by the pool one night that worked out great.

Peaceful and beautiful
We stayed at the Inn for my 50th birthday with 8 members of our family and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a fantastic organic meal prepared by the farm chefs, including the best chocolate birthday cake I ever had. We ordered food from there online shop and had it delivered to the kitchen for the remainder of our stay - all delicious and fresh. The Inn manager helped us with any questions we had throughout our stay, and walking the grounds, greenhouses and lakefront was so peaceful. So beautiful all around. The Inn is charming and historic, and so comfortable with all the modern updates you'd want for a group stay. Pauline the owner was in touch with us ahead of our stay regularly and was so helpful. I can't say enough good things about WGI other than I can't wait to go back in the summer months to enjoy this wonderful place in warmer weather. It was the perfect winter break for us too.

Idyllic holiday retreat
The pictures on VRBO don't capture how exquisite this property is, and how rewarding it is to rent/stay here. Caretaker Kevin was the first revelation: friendly and accommodating, he did a thoughtful (and time-consuming!) job of decorating the house for Christmas, saving us any work to do it ourselves. The decor was tasteful and magical. The house is brilliant for anyone who wants to cook, or anyone who wants to relax in front of the enormous fireplace and read. The views are both spectacular and serene, and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer to take more rambles around the property. Unlike some country properties, White Gate Farm is conveniently close to town (groceries, bagels, wine) which facilitated last-minute trips to get ingredients for holiday meals. The beds are comfortable, the linens and towels both plentiful and good quality, and the house--a renovated antique--is fully updated, light-filled, and not at all drafty. It was a perfect place for our group, which included an energetic dog and a non-energetic 97-year-old. One thing: they don't provide bath soap/shampoo/etc., so bring your own. Everything else--including all cooking and entertaining supplies--are abundantly available. We look forward to coming back in the summer for one of the farm dinners!

A perfect, much needed, family get together

A slice of pizza and heaven.
We couldn't have been happier with our visit. We were a group of 5 girlfriends visiting and couldn't have been happier with this beautifully appointed house and all of the fun stuff to do on and off the property. Lots of cute New England towns nearby - Mystic, Chester, Essex. Fun outdoor activities like sailing and hiking. We really didn't leave the farm much - we loved the Saturday event with awesome pizza and live music. We enjoyed great in room massages and paddleboarding on the lake. Kevin was an awesome help. Tami made the best dinner ever and capped off a wonderful long weekend. We loved it.

Family reunion weekend at the farm
The property was absolutely beautiful! The grounds, farm, lake and pool area were scenic and offered plenty to see and do. The house was large enough enough to accommodate 6 couples. The renovated kitchen was large and had everything we needed to prepare meals. Pauline, Kevin and everyone who worked the farm were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Farm Fest on Saturday and Kevin’s pizzas were delicious! Our only disappointment was that the seventh bedroom that shares a bath, is best suited for children. We would definitely return to the farm again!

A Wonderful Stay in a Unique Inn
Our extended family enjoyed a relaxing and interesting two weeks at the Inn at White Gate Farms. The Inn is well-maintained with a nice blend of antique and comfortable furniture. The sofas are roomy and there are enough chairs, inside and out, for large groups to "hang-out". The 7 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, easily accommodated five couples, two infants, a newborn and a nanny. The brand new kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. It had everything that we needed to create meals for our large group, which we ate at the large dining room table inside or the picnic tables that are right outside the backdoor. We moved the grill from the pool area up to the backdoor to make it easier to grill and serve both indoors and out. Each Wednesday and Saturday, there is the White Gate Farm Farmers Market which features fresh produce and baked goods that are grown and baked right there on the farm - truly farm-to-table. And there are plenty of supermarkets nearby to find whatever you might need. And when we didn't want to cook, we asked the on-site chef, Tami, to do it for us -- fabulous! The Saturday Farm Fest on the lawn outside the Inn's backdoor featured live music and delicious pizza made in a wood-burning stove - fun for the whole family. We also took advantage of one of the Inn's Farm to Table Dinners - an evening that included an excellent, multi-course dinner (thanks again, Tami) and a live jazz band under a gorgeous night sky on the back lawn. Of course, the center of most of our daytime activities was the pool. Both kids and adults gravitated down there at some point in the day for a swim or relaxing float. The bathroom, outdoor shower and kitchen down there all came in quite handy. We also went over to boat and swim in the lake, which is a short walk way. And there was nothing better than wandering around the farm with the boys, visiting the chicks, chickens, lambs and turkeys. They fed the lambs and turkeys, grabbed some eggs, picked some flowers, and even did some planting in the hothouse. Finally, well, everyone there at farm was just so darn friendly and helpful from Pauline and David, the owners to Kevin, the Inn Manager (who took care of our every need) to Tami to Corey and the whole gang that keep the farm running so smoothly. This was a vacation that we will all remember for a long time to come.

Lovely Landscape & Simple Elegance
Wow! Even more beautiful than the photos. The home and property exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of space for our family to relax in the home and by the pool. On Saturdays they even have a farmers market and live music in the backyard. Looking forward to staying at White Gate Farm again!

Fantastic Stay
This place exceeded my expectations! We were a large group of extended family members, including infants, tottlers, seniors, and dogs. The inn easily accommodated 12 adults. It was nice to have bathrooms for each bedroom. The best part was all the included amenities, including the large pool, with pool toys, attached bathroom and full sized BBQ grill, and lake with various paddling activities. My family also loved the general surroundings as well, with its lush green lawns and beautiful gardens. Kevin is the innkeeper, who lives on the property as well. He was very helpful and responsive with any questions or problems. He came in and out of the inn freely, to water the indoor plants and to check in on us, which I thought was weird at first, but didnt mind at all by the second day.

Perfect summer vacation for family!
What a terrific place! We had a wonderful time for our return visit. Pauline and Kevin were great hosts. Plan to return next year.
