Feel of an "Up North" cottage with the convenience of in-town East Tawas

  • Within walking distance of downtown East Tawas, the state dock, and the beach, this cozy cottage, in a quiet downtown neighborhood, feels like you are staying in the woods "up north." Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the deck before heading out to explore the lighthouse at nearby Tawas State Park, or visit Lumberman's Monument on the Ausable River and drive River Road, stopping at the many overlooks.

Every season holds opportunities for exploration: cross-country skiing or snow shoeing in the winter; birdwatching in the spring; beaches and boating in the summer; color tours in the fall. Come to East Tawas and see what you can find!

This nice property is perfect for a visit to the beaches, restaurants, and other attractions of East Tawas. Super well equipped VRBO. Lots of paper supplies, spices, cooking supplies, cleaning products, even bathroom soap and shampoo. Our stay was 12 days, so the large washer and dryer were convenient. Our grandkids loved the large grassy fenced backyard. Beds are comfortable. Very clean property. Easy 10 minute walk to downtown or the pier or beach. We have family in East Tawas so we will return to this amazing cottage again and again. Host is very responsive. Check in was convenient. Window air conditioning units kept the place comfortable on a very warm day in northern Michigan. Thanks Kenneth for renting this fun and amazing home.

Wonderful home and had a great up north cabin decor and feel! Loved watching a family of robin birds foraging for worms, and also the chipmunks and black and brown squirrels! Great location and the home had all of the furnishings.

Fabulous stay!

Wonderful and cozy lodging! Our girl's trip was a blast in East Tawas and our lodging was perfect. Close to downtown, clean and cozy, pull-out couch was comfortable(I slept on it myself). Lots of hot water and water pressure was great. We will rent again for sure :)
