“What an excellent place this is. The location is perfect for those, like myself, who come into Harpers Ferry by train. Close to the historical center, nearby Bolivar and the Appalachian Trail connector. Shawn, who runs the tiny operation, is attentive, helpful and knows the area and its history very well. The room is cozy and was perfect for my three days writing and walking retreat.”

“The property is beautiful.I can only imagine how nice it will be after the renovations are complete. Lovely porch to sit on and watch the rain. Lovely private bath with beautiful clawfoot tub. I met my cousin here. It was half way between Pittsburgh and DC. We picked a bad few days, in that everything is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That gave us a lot of quiet time to relax”

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean and had a lovely view from the main deck. What really made this house amazing was our hostess, Annie. She was very accommodating. Our breakfast was outstanding. Annie was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the best places to visit and eat.
