Songbird House sleeps 8, wrap around porch, kayaks, canoe, dock & great fishing!

This family getaway features large wrap around covered porches with fans, and a large spacious deck with spectacular lake views all around and beautiful views of the flower gardens. At night the deck, yard and dock are all lighted with a light on the dock near the water to attract the fish. The deck has a propane grill and plenty of outdoor seating and dining space for the entire family.

Enjoy the day out on the water and take a ride in the kayaks or canoes! You can even paddle up Murder Creek to the small waterfalls! Relax out on the dock and enjoy the sun, bird watching, fishing, or swimming! Challenge each other in a game of cornhole or badminton! Come inside and kick back on the leather recliner and swivel sofas or play checkers, cards, or a board game in the Florida room! The Songbird Lake House is your perfect family vacation stay and is well equipped with lots of fun for the entire group!

BEDROOM #1: Queen Master Bedroom w/attached bathroom – ceiling fan, TV & plenty of dresser space

ADDITIONAL SLEEPING: Pull out sleeper sofa located in the Florida room & a twin mattress in a closet

BATHROOM #1: Attached to the Master Bedroom is a vanity with his & her sinks, a walk-in closet where the boat paddles are stored and a second room with the stand-up tile shower, toilet and linen closet

BATHROOM #2: Vanity, mirror, toilet and tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR LIVING: 2 kayaks and 2 canoes w/paddles available for guest use. (Guests must bring their own lifejackets) Spacious porches and deck w/seating, outdoor dining, umbrellas and sun loungers. Large flat, very private, peninsula yard, firepit with stone benches (bring your own wood), Dock has lighting, an outdoor sink and cleaning area for fish, ladder (easy access for swimming), and a boat lift, in the boat house, is available to park your boat upon request for a $50 charge. Or you can tie your boat up at the dock for free.

You will enjoy the peace and quiet while viewing the beautiful lake, flower gardens and all the birds, herons, osprey, cranes, blue birds, mockingbirds, black birds, red birds, cardinals and more. We have even seen an Eagle, river otters and beavers on occasions! There is a 2nd freezer located in the outdoor carport area that is used for bait, fish and extra ice bags. We do ask that you utilize this freezer for these items.

INDOOR LIVING: Smart TVs in living room and all 3 bedrooms. Dish Network is available for guests with all the sports channels so you do not miss your favorite team! Magazines, books, board games, desk workspace, Dining Room space for 6 and 6 additional in breakfast nook. Florida room has beautiful views of the lake a game table with board games. You will love the grand antique furnishes & Tiffany lamps this home has!

KITCHEN: Fully equipped kitchen w/stainless steel appliances, breakfast nook dining, drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, single deep fryer, toaster, blender, crockpot, spices, dishware, flatware, grill utensils, and kids plate sets. The refrigerator includes an ice maker and water. (The entire property is on a water filtration system) The well has a water filtration, purification and treatment system so you get delicious H20 straight from the faucet and refrigerator!

LAUNDRY ROOM: Washer and dryer, iron and board, folding counter space and an industrial sink.

PARKING: Driveway (4 Vehicles) Please refrain from parking in the street or any grassed areas. Boat Trailer parking allowed on-site.

LAKE LIVING: Lake Sinclair (on-site access), Twin Bridges Landing/Marina (5 miles), Lake Sinclair Recreational Area (5 miles), Hwy 129/44 (Gray Road) Boat ramp (2 miles)

Lake Sinclair Recreational Area has a boat launch, a large sand beach and is on the house side of Twin Bridges. Twin Bridges Marina is another close boat ramp but please note that not all boats are able to fit under the bridge to gain access to the home if you launch from there. It depends on the water levels and the type of boat you have. There is also a boat launch at Hwy 129/44 (Gray Road) above the house on Murder Creek. All charge $5 to launch.

There is no food that delivers to this property.

BAIT SHOPS: Scoggins Kwick Stop (2 miles), Twin Bridges Marina (5 miles)

GUEST STARTER PACK INCLUDES: 2 rolls of tissue per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, dish detergent, 2 dish pods, 2 laundry pods, 2 trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, body wash per bathroom, hand soap per kitchen and bathroom. We recommend you bring any additional things you may need.
