Fick bo på annat hotell.
Som tur var fanns inget rum till oss (kommer inte ihåg anledningen) varför vi fick bo på The Scotsman i närheten. Tur, ty trapporna upp till rummen var långa och branta (jag såg inte varningen) och för att en fotbollsfinal samma kväll ledde till en fullsatt och mycket högljud pub under rummen.

Bra läge mitt på Royal Mile. Mysig stämning, fantastiskt fint rum med kvalitetsinredning. Vänlig service och god mat.

The inn on the mile - fantastiskt!
Vi är supernöjda med the inn on the mile, kunde inte varit bättre. Mycket mer personligt är om en bor på stora hotell. Rummet var ljust med flera stora fönster. En del ljud/oväsen från vägarna utanför ibland men det räknade vi med och hade inga problem med. För oss var det viktigare att hotellet var centralt beläget eftersom vi bara stannade två nätter och ville utforska staden till fots så mycket som möjligt. Vi kände verkligen att personalen gjorde det lilla extra. Små enkla gester som en morgontidning utanför dörren när vi steg upp på morgonen och brownies som stod och väntade på oss när vi checkade in gjorde att våra förväntningar överträffades. Samtidigt var rummet välutrustat med plattång från GHD och alla andra nödvändigheter tillgängliga om en skulle ha glömt packa ner nåt. Skulle absolut bo här igen!

Väldigt centralt, kan väl inte komma mer centralt. Rummet kanske lite litet (3) men helt ok för två nätter. Hjälpsam, trevlig personal och pub på "kryp-avstånd".

Jättefräscht, modernt inrett rum. Bra läge.
Nackdelar: Lyhört, hörde röster och trafik alltför väl under natten. Mycket dålig frukost. Fördelar: Mycket sköna sängar, underbara badrockar och ett mycket lyxigt badrum, helt nygjort.

Duscha för publik
Hotellet är vällokaliserat, men levde inte upp till förväntningarna. Rummet var mycket mindre än väntat och man kände sig lurad av bilderna vi sett när vi bokade ett superior room. Värst av allt var att duschen låg mittemot ett fönster som inte gick att dra för och hotellgästerna från grannhotellet kunde se en när man stod naken i duschen. Det var inte heller glädjande att när jag framförde kritiken endast erbjöds ett ännu mindre rum, som i praktiken borde vara omöjligt. Allt som allt fick vi en bra vistelse pga den fantastiska staden och dess människor.

Supertrevligt och väldigt centralt
Hotellet låg perfekt mitt i staden och nära alla sevärdigheter. Det var trevlig personal och rummet var mysigt. Badrummet var fräscht men duschen fungerade lite dåligt.

Hotellet var inte prio 1 för Bank Hotell & Bar utan personalen var mer barpersonal. Vilket i vårt fall passade utmärkt för en weekend. Vi fick rum på vån 3 (högst upp) => många trappor men man blev inte störd av baren.

Trevligt hotell med endast 9 rum. Blev därför väldigt personligt. Godkänd frukost, men själva mijön var kanon.Centralt läge utan att störas av trafik eller den pub som finns på bottenvåningen.Jättetrevlig personal.

Charmigt litet hotell med bästa läge. Varje rum har ett namn och ett tema efter känd skottsk person. Kul och lärorikt! Mysig restaurang/pub och överlag häftig inredning - det ÄR en f d bank. Trevlig personal, hyggligt utbud på öl och whisky och typiskt brittisk mat. Stabbigt men gott och vällagat. Börjar bli dags att ge rummen en uppfräschning samt kanske installera en hiss. Väl värt ett besök, framför allt för dess läge och originalitet!

Centralt och bra hotell till ett bra pris! Små men perfekt anpassade rum, trevlig personal - allt jag behövde! Kan varmt rekommendera det. Ha dock gärna med öronproppar om du vill sova då det ligger mitt i smeten och det ligger ovanför en pub.

Fun boutique pub/hotel with nicely appointed rooms & breakfast made to order. Pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the rooms as there are just a handful of them over the pub - and they were relatively quiet. Pub was lots of fun in the evening w live music from 830-12pm. Can’t beat the location either !!

Real nice hotel, bar, and restaurant. Even though there isn’t an elevator the staff is very helpful in getting your luggage up the stairs. A very pleasant stay.

Lovely place. The bar below is beautifully decorated, as are the bedrooms. We did have a few issues while staying. We paid for the larger executive room but were put in the much smaller basic. This was resolved at checkout by removing a drink that we had had and giving us 30% off a future meal. Also, there was live music in the bar and we were in the room directly above. Even though we werent in the bar, we felt like we were. So if you stay, you might want to go another floor up. And lastly, even though we had paid for our room and breakfast prior to staying, we were charged a second time on our credit card. We only noticed this on returning home. This was resolved after a few phone calls and an email.

Beautiful boutique hotel on Royal Mile - perfect!!
This is a fabulous little boutique hotel/inn, the perfect choice for my second trip to Edinburgh. It is right in the middle of the Royal Mile, between Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. Easily walkable to all central sights, and to numerous coffee shops, pubs, restaurants. Walkable to Festival Theatre and Edinburgh Playhouse also. The pub attached to the Inn is perfect - great ambience (live music at night) and very good food! Room was lovely and very clean. Great shower and large soaking tub. Only caution is steep stairs to get to rooms - not for anyone with mobility issues or lots of heavy luggage. But perfect choice otherwise - I will definitely stay again.

Booked a 2 night stay and wouldn't go back. On arriving , trying to check in, was advised that the mansger would be 5/10 minutes so had to stand and wait to get checked in. Room very nice. Had paid for breakfast for both mornings. Went down on 1st morning for breakfast at 10am only to be told that there was no chef so couldn't get breakfast at hotel but could walk down to the Scotsman Hotel and they would provide us with breakfast. Was then advised from the General Manager that sometimes they don't do breakfast at hotel and you would have to walk to Scotsman Hotel to get this. No where on website does it state this.

The hotel is amazing. Building, location, room, facilities, bar everything with one exception. Booked a superior room specifically for the benefit of the large shower and standalone deep bath for us to use. The mixer tap ran cool so it didn't work. Thought it may be the hotel water system ane tried again the following morning same issue but the shower was hot. They need to replace the mixer tap and it would be 10/10 but it was a disappointment. Would I stay again?. In a heartbeat but I will follow up with the hotel directly to advise them.

Wow!!!! There just happened to be 2 nights available at this hotel when we were visiting Edinburgh. Our flight arrived early in the morning, but the staff allowed us to leave some small bags there so that we could explore the city for the day. We were exhausted by the evening and ordered food from the restaurant to take up to our room. The staff were so kind and brought it up for us. We can't say enough about the staff and how they made us feel comfortable and at home. The bed was super comfortable and we could adjust the air in the room. The room is updated and modern. We appreciated the coffee and tea we could make for ourselves as well. The location is amazing and we could easily walk to all of the sights and the train station. This was a great way to begin our trip to Scotland! Thanks again!

Reserved a 2 twin room but got a double. Also they didnt open breakfast at 8:00am. We had paid for this while booking hotel. After 8:07 we had to leave so dont add breakfast if you have to leave early. The room was very clean and staff was friendly
