Väldigt lyhört. Lagom avstånd till allt. Indisk restaurang med fantastisk mat och pizzeria med toppen pizzor och härlig personal i närområdet!

The personnel were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. It's a couple of km away from the Royal Mile, but you get to see some parts of the city you wouldn't otherwise see on your walk to the tourist areas, which is nice. It's totally walkable, and there are bus stops right outside the hotel if you prefer to hop on one to get to other parts of town. Definitely would stay at this hotel again.

In a very cold Edinburgh, the main heater was not working and a small electric heater was in the room which was ok ,bit aiso in the way,,in a very small room. Swing a cat comes to mind. The room was clean and the service was fine

Little Gem Close to everything.
Close to the city, half an hour walk to Royal Mile, nice clean rooms and the shared bathroom I used. Super markets walking distance, bus stop across the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful, there is a customer car park at the rear, and breakfasts are offered as well, thoroughly recommend staying there.

Lage der Unterkunft und Sauberkeit ist sehr gut. Frühstück gut und Parkplatz (kostenlos!) auch vorhanden. Allerdings ist das WLAN extrem langsam (max 2 Mbit - überall!), sodass es schwer ist, Ausflüge zu planen oder zu buchen. Weiterhin ist es nicht gut, wenn das Fenster sich nicht alleine schließen lässt, weil die Seile der Scheibe gerissen sind. Statdessen musste man einen Holzkeil dazwischenstecken, was man alleine nicht schaffen kann. Ansonsten war es eine gute Unterkunft!

I had booked this place 6 months before. When i arrived i got a room which was in a ground floor, full of spider webs (even in shover) and alive spider in the sealing, and add to that smoking spot right outside my window. Staff was really helpful and cleaned webs and killed spider, but still left a bad feeling. Had to sleep lights on for 3 nights. Im terrified about spiders. Dont recommend it.

Warm welcome from the staff and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the single room and its amenities. However, one bathroom for the whole property containing the shower and the toilet is stretching it - at least separate the two, perhaps?

Found this hotel at the last minute as I was just passing through Unfriendly and abrupt staff from the moment I arrived at the door Room was ok but dated and there was problems With the plumbing in the bathroom Checkout was 10.30 and a member of staff knocked the door at 10.25 to say it was time to check out Overall a very poor experience Will not be recommending this place to anyone

The day before my stay I was called by staff to tell me that there were “unforeseen circumstances” and I would be upgraded to a new hotel. I was moved to the Britannia Edinburgh Hotel where the rate was double of my original booking. I was informed by staff I would pay my original room rate, only for the staff at the new hotel to inform me that this wasn’t true. Horrible customer service on the part of both hotels!

Staying at Thrums was quite comfortable and proximity to city centre. The room was clean and well kept,I particularly liked the curtain,can sleep all day of I wanted to,kept the lights out . Though the room are quite small but comfortable enough for one

Rooms very very small, sheets a little bit worn and certainly not white cotton sheets like you might find in a premier Inn or similar, staff friendly enough but no...not for me....so much so we didn't stay, after paying £175 for two nights I spent a further £230 to stay somewhere else, don't bother

The hotel was very comfortable very quiet and perfect for my needs. The room was small but practical, . A friendly and showed me to my room and a guide on the facilities. The hotel is not a 20 minute walk from the city centre it's more like a 40 minute walk. So pack your walking shoes you will need it. I would definitely stay there again it was perfect for my needs.

Comfortabel hotel
Een goed, comfortabel hotel. De kamer was schoon en werd ook goed schoon gehouden. De bedden waren ook goed. Met de bushalte dichtbij kon je gemakkelijk overal komen. De enige minpuntjes waren af en toe koud water tijdens het douchen en het feit dat het hotel langs een grote weg ligt waar veel ambulances voorbij komen.

Easy transport into city centre, also easily walkable. Lovely spacious and clean room, with a very comfortable bed. Didn't try breakfast, so can't comment on that. Very pleasant stay overall and would stay again.

Sehr schönes Haus.
Ein sehr schönes Haus mit Flair für das Ursprüngliche. Eine Erneuerung der Bodenbeläge und einzelne Möbel wäre wünschenswert. Jedoch war alles sauber. Sehr guter Service. Hauseigene Parkplätze. Eigener Garten.

Good location
Good location. Surely it is at a main road, which might be noisier, but it also has several bus stops close by to reach the city center easily. You could also walk, which takes approx 25 minutes. Comfortable to have parking at the back of the house. Nice staff, that was always helpful.
