Surround yourself in sophisticated island whimsy at “Snowball's Escape” (4BR/4BA; Sleeps 12; 1K, 2Q, 2Single over Double Bunk Beds) located just a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean and St. Helena Sound. Newly constructed in 2022, amenities abound throughout this spacious Edisto gem. The main living area is set up for family get-togethers with a wonderful living/dining/kitchen combination, perfect for enjoying meals and evenings together. The gorgeous open kitchen, featuring granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances fit for any Lowcountry feast, opens to a spacious screened-in porch and sun deck overlooking the private pool. The screened-in porch and sun deck are ideal for soaking in the sweet southern breeze as you gaze at the stars while sipping your favorite beverage. The ground-level patio is a great place to chill and grill while you splash and play in the large private pool (heated for a fee) which is sure to be the centerpiece for fun and fellowship. A bright and poised interior is beaming with joyful sunlight and charisma providing a lovely reminder that you are at the beach and to savor the peace of your vacation. This home was designed with guests in mind with a single-level floorplan featuring spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. Flat Screen TVs and free Wi-Fi will keep your group entertained if a brief afternoon shower interrupts your sunny day at the beach or by the pool. Bring or rent bicycles to explore your surroundings and get acquainted with island life! No detail has been overlooked to ensure your comfort.   • A very early morning outing at Botany Bay on Edisto Island. I had to start from my hotel at 3 AM to make it to this location before dawn. Botany Bay Plantation is a nature preserve and has regulated visitor hours. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise - I wish they'd open a little sooner as the golden hour is pretty much more than half way done by the time one can make it to the beach. Nevertheless, it's a great location to visit at sunrise, especially if there are high clouds to add drama. Recommended to visit when the tide is ebbing as you then get the shadows of the trees, which to my eyes add more depth to the image. On this day, there was a bank of low clouds that prevented too much color but it was a great sunrise to witness nonetheless. The trees have so much character and add so much to the image. It's hard to look at the remnants of these trees and not imagine the onslaught they've withstood at the hands of mother nature. #WeekendGetAwayForTheFamily #colorful #USA #weekend #treetrove #blue

Great location, great pool. We have grown up staying at rentals on Edisto. This was top 2 !! The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils, pots and pans.... Even spices!!! We will definitely be booking again !!! Flooding was the only issue..... Lol.... Too much rain. We had a fabulous time !! Thank you to the homeowners for allowing families to rent your beach house !!!

Best family getaway

My family and I loved every bit of Snowball ! Super spacious with bathroom in every room and a lot of space. Our host was very responsive to requests that we had. We’re definitely planning to come back again soon.
