“Stort och opersonligt hotell. Check in i små automater vilket var svårt att förstå eftersom en del var på japanska och personalen ändå fick hjälpa alla när det hakade upp sig vid incheckningen. Hade gått fortare och smidigare med manuell check in. Små rum - trångt. Ingen frukost som passade vår smak. ”

“Utmärkt läge, mycket hjälpsam personal som följde med i bilen och visade hur vi skulle hitta hotellets p-plats för högra bilar ( nära men klurig att hitta). Fin och vällagad japansk frukost. Bra hotell för det låga pris vi betalade. ”

“Dougoya is a bit dwarfed under huge hotel complexes, but they have really done the best of the situation, with an atmospheric entry and small Japanese gardens that the rooms look out on. We had a large room on the first floor with plenty of space. The staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and made their best to make us feel comfortable. They offered us private use of the ryokan's onsen on no less than two occations during our three night stay. We used it once and really appreciated...

“This place is a bit different to the chain hotels that I usually stay in, but in a good way. I stayed in a 'Japanese style' room, which was very spacious with a comfortable futon. The bathroom was a 'wet room' style, with a deep bath and a shower area next to it, onsen-style. The kitchen area has a single induction hob, which is really just to use with the kettle so don't plan on doing any cooking (I wasn't planning on it, so no problem there).
