Den enda Beachfront Studio Apartment på Playa Ocotal, Guanacaste

Fastigheten ligger på en unik blandad sandstrand med svart vulkansand och vita trasiga skal med små kvartskristall som glimten i solljuset. Lugn och tydlig bay inom en större vik med rock tidvattensbassänger, där barnet fisk skyddas av klippformationer som skjuter ut i havet, en underbar plats för snorkling och dykning. The Studio fönster och dörrar alla möter stranden som öppnar ut på en uteplats med en utomhusjacuzzi och grill. En stig leder till stranden cirka 10 meter bort. Ett dyk butik är precis runt hörnet och en restaurang bara ner till stranden.
Studion består av 2 rum med takfläktar och A / C-enhet; sovrum för ett par med en plattskärms-TV, en säkerhetslåda, lakan och handdukar för 2 personer, ett privat badrum med varmt vatten och ett pentry med 2 brännare spis, kylskåp, mixer, mikrovågsugn, brödrost ugn, kaffebryggare, kökshandfat, bordsinställningar för 2 och krukor, kastruller och redskap. WiFi ingår.

Beautiful beach front

We loved our stay at Ocotol with Denese. The suite was very nice and clean and well equipped. We felt very safe in the gated community. Owners were friendly and helpful. Walking right out to incredible snorkeling was the best part of our trip. It’s important to know that it isn’t totally private. The owners live above be and have windows that looked right down on the pool and outdoor area when you’re outside. It wasn’t a problem, but something to be aware of.

A Peaceful Oceanfront Paradise!

We had a fantastic stay at Denese and Hernan's beautiful hideaway in Playa Ocotal. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and at home. The property is gorgeous - peaceful, clean, and just steps away from the ocean. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature's beauty! Even though our trip was short, it was everything we needed and more. Thank you, Denese and Hernan, for being such kind and thoughtful hosts!

A Piece of Paradise

We needed a rest and relaxation vacation and this is exactly what we got. Many opportunities to be as busy as you like or just chill.Our hosts, Hernan and Denese are friendly, gracious hosts and looked after us well. We couldn't of asked for a better first experience in Costa Rica.We are very, very, very jealous that we don't live there

Slice of Paradise

I recently returned from this beautiful property, after my second two-week stay here. The location is outstanding, especially if you're looking for some peace and tranquility as I was. Beautiful garden steps from the ocean on a cute uncrowded beach. Clear water and rock pools to explore. There's not much to do here other than swim and relax on the beach, or the dipping pool, or the communal pool (just what I was looking for).I can't say enough about the Hosts, Denese and Hernan. They are the reason I came back to this property 2 years in a row. They literally go out of their way to make your comfortable and make your stay fantastic. From cutting an aloe vera plant in the garden for my sunburn, to making me tropical fruit drinks and travel to and from the airport, they really made a single female traveler feel safe, comfortable and welcome.I can't wait to go back there I loved it so much. Great location

It's an older property & the finishes are a bit dated, but clean & a fabulous location. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. The pool, patio & landscaping in the back are wonderful. Lots of flowers & birds, great spot to enjoy breakfast. At low tide, the tide pools down at the beach are amazing. Good, convenient meals at Father Rooster's next door. Denese met us out on the street when we drove up.

Wonderful stay!

This place is a hidden gem- right on a beautiful beach, surrounded by nature, in a great location. Just far enough away from downtown (about a 10min drive) that you feel immersed in nature, but close enough for convince. Dense was a wonderful host, and her apartment was very clean and cute. I manged to burn myself the very first day, and dense was kind enough to offer me her aloe plants thay were in her garden. 10/10 would recommend!!

Excellent hosts and excellent property

My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. The hosts are kind and friendly and made several excellent recommendations for things to do in Ocotal and even helped us map out a route to our next destination. The apartment and property were clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals. We spent our evenings in the dipping pool. The beach is about 50 feet from the entrance to the apartment. The bay is beautiful and we saw dolphins near the shore on consecutive mornings. Will definitely stay here again!

great place right on the beach, dipping pool was great. we had everything to prepare meals and grilled twice while staying. the hosts were a wealth of knowledge on the area, but we never felt intruded upon. The bay was beautiful and beach was very nice, not too much foot traffic.

Really is Right on the Beach!

Location, location, location! This rental is on a somewhat private beach just steps from the gate of the rental. Felt so safe on this beach even at night. Plenty of shade from trees on the beach. Denese even provided 2 beach chairs, 2 beach towels, and a small cooler...perfect! The interior is modest but very clean and cheerful with everything you need. The dipping pool was very nice. The only thing they could add would be mood lights around it. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. It was a great deal and amazing!

Very Nice Spot

No problems. Right on the beach and yard/patio is essentially private due to separation from the neighbors on both sides with high flowering shrubbery. Beach not crowded even on weekends. Could use a new toaster

Hidden Gem

On our way in we were concerned due to traffic and narrow roads. Once we arrived, the host greeted us and welcome us. It was a perfect little gem. Location was amazing. Lots of shade, backyard BEACH, and pool. My husband and I truly enjoyed the place. Host had everything, pots, plates, cups. Thank you Denise and Hernan! Hopefully we see you again real soon!

Christmas Holidays 2023/24

Little piece of paradise ✨️ Best location steps to ocean on a beautiful, tranquil beach ⛱️ Outdoor space was beautiful with little dipping pool and gorgeous plants and flowers. Denese and Hernan are the Hosts with the Mosts! They really go out of their way to make your stay an amazing one, providing you anything you can need, including help with transfers and other transportation needs. I was really happy to have met them as they made my stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Father Rooster is next door, it's a nice popular restaurant. The town of Coco is a 5-10 minute drive away for your shopping needs and has various restaurants. Overall I loved it and can't wait to go back 💖💞🇨🇷 Hasta Pronto

Great hosts. Great location.

Great hosts and location is awesome. Access to the beach right out of your backyard. Internet was reliable. Studio is basic and does need an upgrade and host said plans are in the works during downtime. Father Roosters is next door and good food if you want a night out. Coco Beach is about 10 mins by car. Shops have all the same stuff unfortunately. Water drinkable in the studio. Large shower. Small soaker pool on site and three other pools available for guests. Beach is clean and was not too busy which we appreciated. Good snorkelling. Small convenience store nearby but Supermarket in Coco is recommended for groceries.

A Little Piece of Paradise

This apartment is located right on the ocean. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the back yard/patio and yet it is very private. The apartment is quite roomy for 2 people and is well stocked. Denese, the host, was very thoughtful about leaving coffee and other staples we might need until we could get to the store. There were enough towels, including beach towels and beach chairs. Denese was very accessible and provided lots of good information about the apartment, complex and area. We enjoyed talking with her. Not only was the ocean right there but the apartment came with access to 3 swimming pools in the complex. The only downside, if it can be called a downside, was that there is only one restaurant within walking distance of the apartment. Others required a taxi into the town of Coco. This was outweighed by the quiet, beautiful beach away from the crowded party beaches. We were able to snorkel, walk the beach and relax. We hope to be back and would highly recommend this apartment.

Wonderful in ALL ways!

What a perfect little hideaway in a beautiful place! Denese and Hernan are great! Great communication and full of good and useful information about the area and things to do. The place itself is lovely and very clean with all the things you need. We very much enjoyed our stay (wish it had been longer as there was still so much to explore). We have already recommended it to friends and hope to return if our travels ever bring us back to Costa Rica. Here are a few other things that might be helpful to others: GREAT snorkeling right from the beach! We saw cool stuff on both ends of the beach. Father Roosters has the best fish tacos ever and is a short, lovely beach walk away. Coco is within walking distance (it took us about 45 minutes). It was hot but a fun and interesting walk into town for coffee and breakfast. There are taxis available ($9) but we chose to walk there and taxi back. Easy to get to the airport (thank you Hernan!) We HIGHLY recommend this place- it was wonderful!

Adequate property if you are looking for a place to sleep and spend little down time. The place is small (studio as advertised) and the accommodations limited. The terrace/patio area is surrounded by lush vegetation which attracts insects. Even with bug spray we were bitten by insects several times. Overall is an adequate property for short days. The plus is you are right on Ocotal beach, feet away from the sand and half hour from the airport.

Comfortable stay, and amazing views!

We loved staying here - the beach is just steps away and you fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves. Denese is an incredible host - she made us feel right at home after we had experienced long day of travel delays - thank you Denese!
