Nice cozy cabin

Enjoyed the stay, close to many water activities and other stuff. Grocery, restaurant and gas close by also.

Kala Cabin

Beautiful cabin that was a home away from home. We could unplug and enjoy nature. Town was a quick drive away, but staying at the cabin had many enjoyable amenities as well.

This was a great location to get together with family. There was plenty of room for everyone. The game room was a central point. From watching football to shooting pool. The dock was a nice quiet location to sit and enjoy the beautiful view. Everything was very clean and the beds comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Thanks for sharing your home.

Peaceful mountain stay by the lake

Communication from the host was excellent. The house is clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The driveway is not for the faint of heart with some steep foot steps required to get to and from the house. So I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with mobility issues but I believe that is pointed out in the listing. The view of the lake is great and we loved listening to the sounds of the frogs singing. Overall we had an excellent stay and I highly recommend the property.

Wonderful Stay!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. The property was very convenient to downtown Ellijay, tubing, hiking, and dining. My kids loved the setup with the upstairs bedroom, and the game room was a hit! They also enjoyed fishing in the pond. Our group of 6 had plenty of room to spread out. The cabin had a nice selection of books and games. It was very comfortable and super clean!

Best Friends Week

We definitely had a week of fun in Ellijay and a large portion of that fun was certainly from our cozy stay! There was plenty to do at the cabin itself (including the foosball, air hockey, and pool tables that are displayed in the photos). Our kids enjoyed catching and releasing the tiny frogs they found on the property and the deer that came to visit us nightly! The kitchen was well-stocked and the beds were comfortable. Everyone slept well! The only disappointment in our stay was that there were no bunk beds in the upstairs bedroom, which was implied in one of the photo captions. The middle story deck provides a whimsical, treehouse feel and made the perfect setting for morning coffee. The driveway is not for the faint of heart! It’s a steep descent, but worth the journey.

Such a fun cabin for kids!

We had a wonderful time at Rachel’s cabin. She text me several days ahead to see if I had any questions, which I loved because I’m a planner. 😁 If you aren’t used to driving down inclines this may be a little tricky for you as the cabin is on a steep slope down. (I made my husband drive the whole time😳) We had our kids with us and they LOVED all the games and having their own little area to play and the whole top floor with bunk beds just to themselves. They also LOVED having a lake in the backyard. The path down to the lake is a little steep and slippery, but they thought that was a fun challenge! 😀 The cabin was close to a ton of orchards (Hillcrest was soo fun!) and close to downtown Elijay and Walmart. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend, especially to people with kids!

Scenic Setting

Overall, a great house that accommodated 7 of us. Nice layout with a lot of amenities. Some of the games shown did not work, but after calling Rachel - they were very responsive to get items working (darts, etc.). Nice drive up into the mountains (Walnut Mountain) and relatively close to stores, tubbing, hiking trails, etc (5 - 15 miles). The only slight issue was the steep drive way, but more importantly the steep sidewalk. We managed well enough, but I would like to see a hand rail installed along the sidewalk. Again, overall very nice and well kept.

Beautiful Home

We had the best experience, the home is perfect for a large family. We vacationed 5 adults and 3 kids and it was perfect with still plenty of room for more. The kids loved the playroom located in the basement of the home, equipped with everything from darts to ping pong and air hockey. The lake although not able to swim in it, it’s a stunning view in the back of the house. We made s’mores in the fire pit one night. We did not see any bears but did have a daily visit from the neighborhood deer! The hot tub was not working and the living room TV struggled to work. Overall had a terrific time and will definitely be back!

Perfect weekend getaway

The cabin was perfect. It had everything we needed and more. On arriving, the cabin was very clean. My kids (& the adults) loved the downstairs game room. It had pool, ping pong, air hockey & foosball along with a TV & a great assortment of games and puzzles. We enjoyed the hot tub & did some fishing at the dock. I would highly recommend this cabin!

We enjoyed how clean and quiet the cabin was. The kids spent all their time in the gameroom. We have stayed at numerous cabins, this was absolutely the best! Everything was perfect.

Best time ever

I would like to say that it wasn’t just a cabin in the mountains.. this was a mountain experience like no other. I’ve stayed in the smokies for the last 9 years and decided to change it up a bit and I couldn’t be happier that I did. The cabin couldn’t have been any better. The layout, the location, the game room, the lake... the list goes on. Let’s just say I didn’t want to leave and I will most certainly be back again.

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was as beautiful as advertised. Very clean and updated. The basement would be fantastic for kids and the whole family. Would definitely book again.
