  • Välkommen till Beach Retreat West. Den här duplexen på andra raden har allt. Njut av fantastisk utsikt över havet och sunda utan hyrespriserna vid havet. Detta hem är i utmärkt skick, med över 2000 kvadratmeter bostadsyta. Visa havet eller ljudet från varje enskilt rum i huset. Gå ut på däcken, och havsutsikten tar andan. Jag lovar att när du väl har varit här en vecka eller två, kommer du aldrig att vilja lämna.

    Du vaknar på morgnarna, går ut på däcken och tittar ut över den vackra Crystal Coast. Ta ett djupt andetag och du luktar Emerald Isles salta luft. Detta hem har fyra sovrum, med drottning sängar (alla med tillgång till däck / balkong), ett barns loft / underhållning område (fyra enkelsängar), med TV / video / DVD. Det finns också en stor samling böcker, filmer, spel, pussel och ett stereosystem allt för din njutning.

    Laga alla dina favoritmat i det fullt utrustade köket medan du tittar ut genom fönstret vid havet. Ät i och underhålla i det stora, öppna vardagsrummet / matsalen. Titta t. v på platt-TV, medan du kopplar av i soffan.

    Stig ut på däck och ta den underbara utsikten över stranden från båda riktningarna. Om du tittar noga kan du till och med få en glimt av delfin som simmar förbi. Om solen blir för varm för dig på toppen, kan du promenera ner där du kan njuta av ett täckt däck som ger massor av skugga.

    En av mina favoritfaciliteter med detta hem är tillgång till stranden. Det finns en trä gångväg tvärs över gatan som leder dig direkt till stranden. Detta är oerhört viktigt om du är som jag, med fem barn och det verkar som om du tar med dig allt annat än köksvasken. Vi har alltid så mycket att bära fram och tillbaka, att det är ovärderligt att ha tillgång till stranden.

    Slutligen, efter en rolig dag på stranden, lägg barnen i säng och gå tillbaka ut på däck. Luta dig tillbaka och titta på månen när den lyser över havet. Den här vyn sätter bara en utropstecken på din dag. Få en god natts sömn och gör dig redo att göra det igen i morgon.

The house was perfect and had everything we needed for our stay. It was so close to the beach with easy access. Robin was very responsive to all questions and check in/out was a breeze. There is also a Dollar General really close by for anything extra we needed.

A good place to stay for large families

Wonderful place

This duplex was awesome! We had so much space (bigger than it looks online), extremely clean and comfortable! It was across the street from the beach access and yet you could still see & hear the ocean and it wasn’t crowded! The owner was extremely fast at replying to my silly questions and the only issue is we had to leave! We will definitely be renting this in the future!

First time using VRBO.

This was our first time renting a beach house and it couldn’t have been any easier. Plenty of room for all the members of our car club. Location and view was excellent.

Beach retreat- what a treat!

Our family vacation was amazing. The location is optimal, house is clean and perfect for our family of 11. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The beach access was convenient for easy access to the beautiful beaches of the island. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Location, great indoor space and nice decks

We loved that we could cross the street and immediately be on the beach. The house’s outdoor shower, foot wash station, and washer/dryer on the bottom floor were all really helpful after lots of beach time. The space was clean and had a great kitchen and common area space. You can see parts of the ocean from the upper deck, and watch the moon rise over the water. Check in/out was easy.

Great Beach House

The house was just perfect, furnishings were nice. The beach access was across the street. You had an ocean view from the deck. We would definingly consider this house again. The owner responded quickly to my messages. The only negative is if someone has a problem with stairs there are a lot.

Celebration of Life

Beach Retreat West was the perfect beach house for the 11 of us (ages 10 to 80) to get together for a celebration of life event for my Mom who recently passed away. She loved the beach and there was no better way to celebrate her than to all get together for a beach vacation on her behalf! The house was the perfect size for everyone to spend time together and when you needed a little time to yourself there was plenty of space to do so and getting to the beach was just a quick walk across the street! Robin was a wonderful host, quickly answering any questions we had. Thank you Robin for sharing your home with us for this very special time!

Easter Family Time

Even though the weather was not very good for a beach weekend we were able to make the best of it and enjoyed lots of family time! Thank you! BTW… there were no dish cloths or dish towels for kitchen that we could find so that is why there are none in with dirty towels.😊

Wonderful time!

The VRBO listing describes it to a T! Plenty of room for cars (6) and very close to the beach! Quiet neighborhood. Yes-there are a lot of stairs. No problem for us (oldest was in late 60s) but if someone has limited mobility it wouldn’t be a best pick. Can easily see the ocean on upper floors. (Enjoy your morning coffee). All appliances were working (sad that I have to say this-our last place at Nags Head managed by a realty company had broken washer before we walked in..and was not fixed or compensated.). The family all agreed this was our best vaca home in 4 years.

Best next to beach front

Finally a house where everyone had a bed in an appropriate room! The huge “attic” bedroom with 2 singles at each end was a perfect spot for kids to sleep and play. All the other bedrooms were pleasant. The main living area was a good size, the kitchen well equipped with pots, etc. I wish there had been 2 more chairs to put at the dining table so 8 adults could have sat together rather than 2 having to sit at the “kids’” counter. The decks were great, especially the lower one outside 2 of the bedrooms which was a comfortably furnished shady hideaway. Ample parking. Best outdoor shower! And best of all, the house was only 1 house away from the beach access!

Perfect Location

Great location. Just across from the beach access. Very clean unit with comfortable furniture. Kitchen had all we needed including crockpot, griddle, air fryer, hot air pop corn maker and toaster oven. Great patio with ocean views and an ocean breeze to gather in the evening. There is also plenty of patio to get a little alone time. The kitchenware is standard VRBO stuff. Nothing special but there is plenty of it. Many of the glasses have hard water stains. They are clean though. The only minor issue we had is that the charcoal grill is very small. Communication with the owners was great and they were very helpful. Overall, I definitely recommend Beach Retreat West.

Our experience

The house itself is really nice, beautifully decorated and there is plenty of space for the whole family. There are several sets of steps and it is kinda of exhausted to go from one level to another, so be prepared. The location is great, just a very short walk from the beach. Overall, we did enjoyed our stay, but did have some issues. The house was not ready by the time we had to check in(4pm), the cleaning ladies were in a rush still cleaning and by the time we went in we realized that it wasn’t dust well and the floors were not well cleaned. We could feel some sand on our feet and we found sand in every bathroom specially in the corners. We had to vacuum ourselves. Before leaving, cleaning crew told us that they had left the bath towels in the dryer and ask us if we could get them out for us to use. There were only seven towels for our family of twelve. The cleaning company owner realized that there were only seven and told me that he was gonna bring the rest in the morning. Well, it was 10:30am the next day and the towels weren’t being delivered yet, so I got in touch with the property manager and after a while the rest of the towels were delivered. It’ll be great if every bed had a blanket just in case it’s needed. One last thing, I don’t understand why charge so much in cleaning and linen fees if we basically leave the house clean with all the rules posted to follow. We loved Emerald Island and our stayed at the house besides this couple of issues.
