  • Great Expectations West is a breathtaking 5-bedroom, 4-bathroom, oceanfront duplex on the beautiful beaches of Emerald Isle, and just steps away from having your toes in the sand! This amazing home boast 3 oceanfront bedrooms with gorgeous panoramic views from sunrise to sunsets, and all with their own private decks! Great Expectations is nestled right in the heart of Emerald Isle, making all of our amazing local shops, restaurants, and family-friendly activities just a short distance away. This house is equipped with high-speed wireless internet for your convenience. There are also five new "smart" TVs, new dishwasher, new washer/dryer, new mattresses new water heater, and a fully-equipped kitchen with all you could need and more! You will find 2 Keurig coffee makers, drink and wine cooler, a slow cooker, and a blender in addition to all of your basic kitchen appliances! The furnished decks are the perfect place to sip a morning coffee or an evening cocktail while you watch the sunrise and sunset over the rolling waves. Welcome to Great Expectations!

Great Getaway!

Awesome Vacation

Over all we had an awesome vacation experience with this property. There were a few minor inconveniences, some were addressed and we managed found ways around the others. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the stay.

Spacious and secluded

We thoroughly enjoyed the direct access to the beach. Bedrooms and Bathroom were verywell situated. Open living space was very accommodating for our family’s needs. Loved the swing on the deck. We had a great stay.

The property was comfortable, well-organized, and had everything you would need. We had a family trip of adults and really enjoyed our stay. The view and balconies are wonderful. Nice touches everywhere—like front porch swing and extra coffee makers. Check in and out was a breeze. Location can’t be beat. The host was helpful and communicative. Definitely recommend!

Perfect Beach Vacation House

We LOVED our stay at the Great Expectations house. The location was perfect and the house was super clean and comfortable for our group of kids, adults, and seniors. The hosts were incredibly responsive when a small issue came up. I highly recommend this home and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Great Vacation

My family and I enjoyed our stay here during our vacation to Emerald Isle. The location was wonderful and close to all restaurants and other attractions. The house was nice, although the bathrooms could use some updating. The bathrooms were also a little dirty when we arrived. But overall we enjoyed our stay and it is a nice property accurately fitting the description.

Great time, Great place, Great house

Came in to enjoy the beach and do some surf fishing and just relax and this house and location allows you to do just that. Close to the beach, Close to the pier, close to shopping, and yet nothing feels like it’s on top of you. Love it and would totally come back again!!!

Amazing Stay!!!

The house was exactly as described. It was clean, stocked with everything you would need and even had a bbq grill. The views were amazing and it’s right on the sand!!! . Tony is a great host and communicates better than any other that we have rented from. Can’t wait to go back!

Great family week!!

We had a great family week at the beach! The house was wonderful-exactly as shown in the pictures! We cooked in the kitchen which had everything we needed to make family dinners. The best part was the three levels of outdoor porches where we could spend time in smaller groups or if we needed a quiet moment. The host was very responsive to our few questions and requests. All in all, five stars!
