Great Boutique Inn - will go back
The Hygrade Inn is WONDERFUL! Very charming and quiet. The owner / host is very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He goes out of his way to make your stay interesting. We would definitely stay there again AND recommend it to others.

This is a beautiful 1880 home who's owner is very passionate about the area and it's history. I had a great Stay. The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable.

Love this inn!
The inn was quaint and very clean! The rooms were decorated well and I love the overall aesthetic of the whole place! The shower was large and clean! The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The inn keeper was very friendly and welcoming!!!

The decor was unique and the atmosphere was superb. The meal prepared on Saturday was perfect. The host was cordial and informative about the history of the property. I would definitely stay again.

Loved staying here!!!! The room was wonderful - the bed, pillows, and linens were so comfortable - we slept great. My husband was thrilled that they not only had air conditioning but a ceiling fan in the room. The private shower was ginormous and could fit 3 people. The breakfast was delicious! Bacon, eggs and potatoes. The decor was amazing. I loved all the artwork and it was in 3D too! The owners were so nice. I want to move in here. I totally felt pampered. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate! I'm going to figure out more reasons for coming to Emporium so I can stay here again! :)

Great stay! Jim was really nice and helpful and he cooked us a great breakfast. We stayed in the Grove room and I'd happily stay at the hotel and in that room again.

Beautifully renovated home. No expense spared. Right in the lovely town of emporium pa. Elegant breakfasts. Much artwork on the walls to explore as well as antique furniture to be amazed by. And the porch is a great way to wind down with a glass of wine after a long day of exploring and hiking the glorious parks that surrounds rhe town. A must visit. Please note: this is not a handicapped accessible home. Many stairs to maneuver.

One of my best accommodation experience, the house is decorated like a micro museum with plenty of Edison's invention which not only as decorations, but also usable. Cannot tell which one is more impressive to me, 3D painting, classical light bulb, phonograph (my first time play around real phonegraph !). I feel the owner's passion for life and really enjoy the peaceful in this creative and lovely paradise. The free breakfast is the best breakfast I have ever take in US, the best chef in the town!

Nice place to stay, friendly staff, BEAUTIFUL house and room. My only complaint was that it was noisy all night because they are starting a restaurant and we’re in the kitchen doing dishes and yelling.

We are sorry you were not satisfied. Although the first night was hectic, the kitchen winds down at 8:00 and by no means works into unreasonable hours. We will try better next time.

Unique, comfortable and charming.
Lovely and clean. We were very pleased with our room at The Hygrade Inn. It was unique, comfortable and very charming. Free on-street parking right in front of the building. The only downside is that the rooms are on the second floor, and the only way to get there is up the stairs. There is no handicap way to get to the rooms. Otherwise, we would highly recommend it.

My wife and i stayed here for a stargazing road trip. I was prepared for a rustic room but was pleasantly surprised to walk into a very tastefully decorated room with a beautiful bathroom. Bed was clean and comfortable. We met the owner,Jim, who couldn't do enough for us. The gift shop carried items not usually found in these kinds of shops. All in all we had a great time and our stay at the Hygrade was a part of that good time!!!

Beautifully restored Victorian property, with furniture of the era. Expansive gift/Christmas shop on the premises. Picturesque Pennsylvania town surrounded by lush forests. Owners of the property were on site for much of the time and were generous in sharing the history and lore of Emporium... which is was the birthplace of Sylvania. We'll be back. Jim and Matt are top notch hosts. They pulled all the stops to the smallest details and it doesn't go unnoticed. Everything was super comfortable, private, and an amazing shower. And the soap- who gets excited about soap? I'll tell you what, they don't use ordinary soap. The fact that we had the entire place to ourselves the first couple of days was extra nice. They were responsive and went out of their way to make sure we were all set for our stay and answered all our questions in a timely manner. We plan on returning for sure.

Awesome place and exceptional service!
Such an awesome boutique hotel! The town of Emporium is quite a sight to see. The whole town is surrounded by mountains and being from the city, I was just in awe! The owner Jim was extremely kind to me and my girlfriend. Wish I had more photos to share. Already planning another trip in the summer! I can’t wait!

The property is beautiful. The owner has a great heart and cares for his customers. The level of care for this romantic get away included wine glasses and a cork screw. Very thoughtful. Notes in the guest book said, he treated his other customers with excellence as well.

This property is a beautifully remodeled old home in a small mountain town. Awesome amenities and very well taken care of. There was no innkeeper on site due to the COVID-19 virus but the owner contacted us prior to our check in to let us know our room was ready an hour before check-in and we could contact him if needed. The bed, pillows and entire room were very comfortable.

Luxurious Gem in PA Mountains
The Hygrade Inn is a luxurious stay in a beautiful historic house in a calm, quiet town. Our room, the Gibson, was a lovely combination of antique and modern, extremely clean and comfortable. At a time like this, when cleanliness and socially-distanced customer service are of utmost importance, the Hygrade team did a fantastic job of being remotely accessible from before check-in to after check-out.

Definitely a hidden gem. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Customer service 10/10. The place was very clean and well furnished. However, I do recommend replacing wooden furnitures in the bathroom (because of water marks stain) and adding a full body mirror in the room would be nice for people who likes to do their make up/dress up. Everything else was great and I would definitely recommend the Hygrade Inn to friends and family! Until next time👍
