Green table cafe on site is really good. Also The White Hart provided hotel breakfasts.
Staircases were a little fusty with an odd air freshener to compensate. Its an old listed building so to be expected but might smell fresher if the stair carpets were steam cleaned and better air fresheners.

We stayed at the Langstone Cliff hotel before a concert at Powderham castle. We arrived early afternoon and decided to have lunch on the terrace overlooking the sea. Lunch was lovely and the drinks were cold. Having parasol’s kept us cool on a very hot day. Our room was lovely, quite small but had everything we needed and the air con was an added bonus. Anne is the most lovely host, so organised, courteous and kind, nothing was too much trouble.
We were a little hot in the small double room, however Anne quickly provided a fan that assisted well.
