This Place Rocks! Waterfall and lake access

We’ve carved out a masterpiece along the bluff- allowing a rare vantage point to relax, enjoy the breathtaking views, listen to waterfall and hide away! Located in a quiet Lakeside community just min from downtown and 15 min to Presque Isle.

Bright and comfortable two-story home with open floor plan kitchen, dining and dual living rooms. Master bedroom features a luxurious king bed, desk, large walk-in closet, tv and deck! Kitchen is always well stocked for cooking with spices, cleaning supplies and variety of coffees and teas. Full bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub and bonus living room with pull-out sofa also on first floor. Luxurious bedding, towels, bath soaps and paper products are provided for our guests. First floor laundry, also.

Upstairs king bedroom has private balcony with incredible lake and waterfall view! Across the hall is bedroom #3 with 2 queen beds and large closet full of toys for hours of entertainment. Upstairs is also a small, full bathroom with bathtub only.

WITH CAUTION: This property sits 12-20’ above Lake Erie. While it makes for incredible views, visitors must be aware that there is no fence or railing along the rock wall or bluff. Children should not be left unattended in back yard or permitted to climb the rock wall. There is water access by carefully climbing down the natural rocks at the adjacent waterfall. There is no handrail and can be slippery. But people of all ages use the access and it makes for an awesome adventure! We recommend wearing crocs or old sneakers for wadeing in the water here. The soft sand beach is only a 15 min drive at Presque Isle State Park.

There is also a public pavilion and beach- full of beach glass at the corner of Lakeside and Chautauqua Blvd. Boat launch within a mile or 2 at Lampe Marina or Lakeside Boat Launch.

MAX GUESTS: This home is equipped to serve 6-10 guests comfortably. Please count ANY and ALL guests/visitors at the time of your reservation- no additional visitors whether staying the night or not. Host and staff live nearby and are available should you need assistance.

We stayed this past weekend with friends & we had a great time! The host was great and the property helpers brought us firewood! The house was clean and the perfect size for 8 of us! The only downside was the spiders outside on the chairs and no rope/guard from the cliffs. We just stayed away from the edge and everyone was fine! We liked the sailboats & even saw a bald eagle flying around us! Thanks again for the stay - your home is adorable!!

Perfection

Beautiful property with a stunning view of Lake Erie and the peninsula! Beautiful sunsets. The seating area in the rock overlooking the waterfall was amazing. The house was clean. The host was easily accessible and very helpful. The house itself was comfortable and well spaced for gathering or some privacy.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

The house is open and well designed with great views of Lake Erie throughout. It felt instantly comfortable. The decor is uncluttered but with a personal touch. The kitchen is spacious and the TVs are nice and big!

Fall getaway

Perfect weekend getaway

It indeed rocks

This is a most wonderful place to relax and take in the lake. The updated house is spacious with an open floor plan. The location is ideal to downtown and the peninsula. We enjoyed many evenings on the back patio and deck watching the sunset.

Beautiful Home

An amazing stay with multigenerational family. We absolutely loved this house & the memories we made here. The view is outstanding and we loved hanging out by the water roasting smores over the fire. The house fit us all comfortably, beds were comfortable, and the shower was amazing. The local chocolate sponge candy the host left as a welcome gift was the icing on the cake. A perfect weekend getaway!

We had the best weekend for a girls trip staying at “This Place Rocks!” The home was stunning, clean, and very comfortable. We loved using the outdoor space to sit and chat and enjoy the beautiful weather and amazing Lake Erie views. We couldn’t stop saying how awesome the house was all weekend! It is also just a quick drive to tons of Erie food and entertainment. And, the host Janelle was extremely kind, responsive and available. For example, we ran out of propane for the grill and she was there in a matter of minutes to replace it so we could continue our cookout! I would highly recommend a stay here and I hope to return someday soon!

Best view in Lake Erie and the perfect house!

The home is beautiful, the location is perfect, and absolutely nothing can beat the view. This was our first trip to Lake Erie and we will definitely be back- and staying with the hosts again! We are loved this house, but they have more properties in the same area. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. Thank you!

Would stay again

Was a great place to take our adult /teen children and new grandchild. Pros- enough space to fit everyone comfortably. Host was nice and I knew she was available if needed. Information book of their favorite places was nice, games for the kids and more. Cons- right next to a park where people frequently were drinking on the public cliff. This didn't bother us a lot because no one was unruly or belligerent. The shower was very cramped nicely done but the fixtures made it so there wasn't enough space. The grill was really dirty and the cover and surrounding area was full of dead bugs. All and all was a nice long weekend away and would stay again.

Stunning view

We enjoyed our stay at This Place Rocks. The house was very nice and the view was absolutely amazing! We loved relaxing outside and spent a lot of time watching the lake and listening to the waves and the waterfall. It was only about a 15 minute drive from Presque Isle.

Perfect

The hostess was very helpful and welcoming. The sight is grand and the landscaping really facilitates enjoyng the location. The house is an open in a way that allows everyone to be together. Easy to get around Erie from the location and connect to 79 and 90.
