“The staff/owners of River Valley Inn are so incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful! I ended up having to check in much later than anticipated, but they made sure I had no issues getting access to my room. When I had issues with a key card malfunctioning due to the cold weather, once again the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a new working card immediately. The room was clean, spacious, and exactly as advertised. I will stay here again!”

Everything stood out, from the way the attractive artwork perfectly matched the accent wall, to the ambience of the communal dining room, the comfort of the bed and pillows, the soft orange glow of the fireplace in the dark when I walked in to the room for the first time - care and attention to detail was evident in every spotless crevice. Breakfast was fun and delicious, every moment in the room whole working or relaxing was quiet and delightful. 10/10”

“I read the reviews calling this a hidden gem and I have to agree. Everything about the stay was a pleasure. We were greeted when we arrived and promptly checked in. Once we saw our cabin, we were smiling from ear to ear. Everything was clean, the decor was homey even with the viking theme (I could do without the pelts on the wall but that's personal preference) and even a cozy fireplace (for our winter visit). “This is a quintessential New England Inn that is in a darling town. Super quiet, great views, and the management was super helpful. I was able to do my laundry for free while there overnight. Breakfast was good with local pasties and fruit. My only complaint was there were no protein options available. Overall, this was our favorite place we stayed on our 10 day New England trip. I would highly recommend a visit to The Old Mill Inn and community. ”
