The pods are great, all clean, the double bed is definitely cosy but their description of the pod on the website is accurate, it is basic but they never profess to be anything else. Barbecue in front of each pod is great, we cooked supper and breakfast on it, for all you carnivores, the butcher in Fownhope is fabulous. If you just need a base to chill out in, this is absolutely perfect.”

“This was a pleasant inn with good service and a comfortable and well equipped room (slight issues with damp in the bathroom notwithstanding). The breakfast and food in the restaurant was generally excellent (but I would avoid the Eggs Benedict). Blaenavon is a pleasant quiet village with some local sights to see like the National Coal Museum and convenient distances to Cardiff and the Brecon Beacons by car.”

“THE BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB A FULL ENGLISH WITH TOAST AND JAM, JUICE COFFEE/TEA CEREAL. THE EVENING MEAL WAS "HUGE" TWO MASSIVE SLICES OF GAMMON WITH SKIN ON FRIES TWO EGGS AND SALAD. WELL IMPRESSED. THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS "WE WERE UPGRADED TO A LARGE DOUBLE" AND TEA/COFFEE LAID ON WAS A NICE TOUCH. THE OWNERS WERE REALLY NICE, AND INTRODUCED THEMSELVES TO US APOLOGIZING FOR THE WORKMEN WORKING ON THEIR ALARM SYSTEM. WE READ THAT SOME OTHERS GUESTS HAD COMPLAINED OF THE ROAD NOISE, BUT WE COULDN'T...

“Family room was a really good size. Newly refurbished stable rooms on the ground floor. Conveniently located for main roads into the town and walkable in 15 minutes to centre of high street. Discount on a fabulous Nepalese restaurant. Car parking on site was free.”

“The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Rooms were well-appointed with fabulous bathroom and quality toiletries. Tea pigs tea and Tan y Castell Welshcakes were a cut above, as well as Ty Nant bottled water. The mattress and pillows were lovely quality. Rooms had minimalist furniture creating uncluttered calming space. The full Welsh breakfast was impressive, cooked to order. Unlimited juices, cereal and toast. Friendly, efficient staff.
