Later in the holiday, a 14-year-old girl fell from the hammock because it had been installed incorrectly. By then, all of our swimwear and inflatables had turned green. One bedroom had no functioning air conditioning, several rooms had ant infestations, and at least two bedrooms had mould covering the curtains. One of the ground-floor sliding doors wouldn’t lock properly, creating a security concern. The dishwasher barely cleaned anything, so we washed most dishes by hand. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, there was only one tall drinking glass for the entire villa, the washing line broke, and the outdoor dining table was filthy underneath and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned. The only positive was that there was plenty of toilet roll provided.
