“Outstanding lodge and quite possibly the best in New Zealand ! Very comfortable, well equipped with high quality amenities. The hosts were spectacularly welcoming and hospitable. Arrived with the intention of staying one night, tore myself away after 10 nights ! More than 100% recommendation. Not to be missed if you visit Southland.”

“Sure, this isn't a 5 star hotel (if they're even trying to market it as such). But nonetheless it provided us with a completely adequate stay and I would say it is well worth the price. The location is great with the multitude of restaurants of Te Anau within walking distance. Our rooms were clean. The staff was friendly. Parking is free. There weren't any noises or other nuisances that made it impossible for us to sleep or otherwise negatively impacted our experience. What more do you need?”

“Pictures do not do the cabin justice. It’s a real sun trap with a great outdoor area. Extremely comfortable and cosy and only 5 minutes walk to the Church Bistro. Everything you need to be fully self catering. ”
