Unik Oceanview Hilltop Retreat

Detta unika hem ligger högt uppe på en kulle med utsikt över havet. Det är bara några minuter från UNESCO: s världsarvsliv, Lunenburg.

Sitt ute med ett glas vin under pergolan och titta på den berömda Bluenose segla in i hamnen, eller mysiga runt den utomhus eldstaden och steka marshmallows på natten. Om du känner dig äventyrlig kan du gå eller ta en av cyklarna till stan.

Lunenburg är värd för många festivaler och mässor, inklusive Nova Scotia Folk Art och Folk Harbor Festival. Fastigheten ligger bara 4 km från staden och golfbanan Lunenburg. Lunenburg har många attraktioner, från fantastiska restauranger och kaféer till båtturer (djuphavsfiske och valskådning) och spökspromenader.

Det är en timme bort från Halifax, 20 minuter till Oak Island, 15 minuter till den pittoreska staden Mahone Bay, minuter till ugnarna och alla de närliggande stränderna som Hirtles (Gaff Point trail). Eller njut av en dagstur med en lokal vingård.

Denna 1750 kvadratmeter stolpe och balk bondgård byggdes ursprungligen 1864 strax utanför Yarmouth. Den ligger på 8. 5 tunnland mark. År 2000 demonterades den och flyttades till sin nuvarande plats. Huset rekonstruerades på en hälld betongplatta med strålningsvärme i golvet. Den har 2 sovrum, 2 badrum och 2 vardagsrum. Det har alla rustika charm i ett äldre hem, men med alla moderna bekvämligheter. Det finns 2 andra fastigheter som delar kullen.

Det finns också tillgång till havet ... perfekt för att lansera kajaker eller små båtar. Detta hem gör också en utmärkt vintresort med en stor kälke kulle bara två minuters promenad bort.

Everything was exactly like the listing. We had everything we needed to have a perfect 4 days at the cottage. The location was perfect for our outing adventures. However, just sitting on the long bench behind the couch with with a glass of wine enjoying the wonderful view was PERFECT.

Unbelievable location with beautiful home and view. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and walking around the huge yard.The host was so helpful and quick to respond whenever we had questions. The home is only a few short minutes drive to Lunenburg historic town where there is a Tim Hortons, grocery store and lots of restaurants. 10/10! We loved our time here!!

Cozy But Spacious Hilltop Retreat

A week at the Hilltop Retreat was great…a month would have been better. This quaint little cottage provided a cozy but plentiful space for our family of four. We enjoyed the large, open yard, with plenty of room for outdoor activities, and the beautiful ocean view while sitting and drinking coffee every morning. We made great use of the golf clubs, kayaks and bicycles. The cottage provided a great base for us while we explored the south shore. We hope to visit again very soon!

Magnificent!

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home for 5 days. It is meticulously clean, extremely well-organized and equipped, and had a wonderful view. The hosts, Chrissy and Marcel, could not have been more kind, thoughtful, and responsive. We had several misadventures unrelated to the house due to travel complications and they were right there for us every step of the way. All around, a wonderful stay!

Fantastic Property

We had a wonderful stay in Lunenburg at this outstanding property. It is spotless and the most well-equipped rental home I have ever seen. There is nothing missing. The views are enchanting and it is the definition of tranquility. Lunenburg is only about two miles away. We used this house as our base for exploring the South Shore and it served perfectly for that purpose. There are too many superlatives to list about this home. Simply put, it far exceeds a five-star rating.

We loved our stay at the Hilltop retreat. The architecture and design caught our attention, and the views out from the hilltop kept us enraptured. Proximity to Lunenburg amenities is great, and we enjoyed the farmer’s market nearby. Really a relaxing and lovely stay.

Perfect for family gathering

The hilltop retreat was perfect for us. We were looking for a place big enough and fully equipped to host a family gathering pre-Christmas. This was just right. The kitchen is fully equipped. The hosts have thought of everything. The house is cozy and beautiful. Great distance from town and beautiful views. We may make it an annual tradition.

Amazing!

What a charming farmhouse overlooking the sea! It’s so cozy and welcoming. Feels like a small farmhouse museum with so much to see in the decorating. It was immaculate! As far as hosts Chrissy and Marcel are our all time favorite. They went above and beyond. Lunenburg is quaint with the friendliest of residents. It was a trip we want to repeat.

Unique timber frame home was very clean and private, located atop a hill with views of the water below. Located a few minutes from downtown Lunenberg and close to other area attrctions. We enjoyed our short stay in the area.

Beautiful and comfortable home

This house is not only beautiful but it is also incredibly comfortable. The spacious layout and design is visually attractive. Attention to detail-unsurpassed. Well appointed with everything one would need, and then some! We were fortunate to meet both Chrissy and Marcel. We had a wonderful conversation regarding the history of the house. Fascinating to see pictures of the original framework that was then disassembled and moved to another location. The remodeling and vision created the most perfect retreat - complete with an amazing view. Peaceful and relaxing. We certainly would love to return. Thank you Chrissy and Marcel for your vision. Great memories.
