Jen is a very kind, responsive, and communicative host. She checked in often (a couple times each day..) and was helpful throughout our stay. (She lives directly next door.) Feeling bad because of how kind she was is the reason I’m rating it 3 stars instead of 2.That said, the home itself was a major disappointment and did not warrant the cost or meet expectations. The yard is not a secluded woods area- as I felt it appeared from the photos. It’s run down- another thing I did not feel was conveyed in the photos. It’s the kind of place where you wouldn’t worry about kids damaging anything because everything is already very beat up & dingy. When we walked in, we were honestly disappointed, as we expected much more for the cost. The game room was a nice feature and definitely the highlight of the house, but it wasn’t enough to offset the condition of the rest of the property. The master bed was uncomfortable, the bedding was not great, the showers felt gross. If this home were priced significantly lower—closer to a third of the cost—I would likely rate it higher. At this price point, though, I expect quality, cleanliness, and comfort, and this home fell short in those areas. If you have small children, & don’t want to be in a nice rental where you worry about them damaging anything, this is the place for you. However, for my family, this felt like a serious waste of money.
