Om du letar efter en unik och rustik stuga för att koppla av och ladda i en vacker bergsområde har du hittat den! Privat, men ändå bekvämt för allt High Country har att erbjuda. Kom och upplev charmen i en "riktig" pionjärstuga. Njut av det enkla nöjet av naturens skönhet och den tidiga Americana buntade i en. Ta ett djupt andetag, nu ... andas ut!

Sleepy Creek är tillverkad av stockarna från två autentiska 1800-tals timmerstugor (från Kentucky och West Virginia) som monterades om och förenades för att göra en mycket unik och bekväm semester undan. Denna stuga är konstruerad av vackra antika handgjutna poppel- och ekstockar, underbara stenhuggar, kompletta med en cederträskak. Det ligger på över 4 tunnland skogsmark med en vacker ström som går förbi stugan genom hela arealen.

Interiören har stora rum med (2) sovrum och (2) badrum. Befälhavaren ligger på bottenvåningen (drottning) och har ett litet privat badrum. Svart valnötplankgolv, antik knutig tallpanell och tvålstenblock spis med nyare komponenter för att sätta upp scenen för denna mysiga reträtt. Det andra sovrummet omfattar hela övervåningen (en dubbelsäng och två enkelsängar) med välvda tak- och takfläktar.

Det rustika köket i lantgårdstil är fullt utrustat, har alla nya apparater, men upprätthåller landets charm med periodstycken, inklusive en äkta Hoosier-skåp från sekelskiftet. Det finns också ett separat tvättstuga. Ett andra badrum ligger nere. Men det bästa är den täckta verandan. Koppla av till utsikten över den mycket bullriga bäcken och de många kolibrier som ofta stugan på sommaren. Glöm inte att njuta av en picknick eller tupplur vid bäcken - bänkar, picknickbord och hängmatta. Sleepy Creek ger den perfekta miljön för din avkoppling, komfort och njutning.

Serene setting in very accessible location. Short drive to West Jefferson, Boone and surrounding attractions. Place is very well equipped and as cozy as it gets (especially with a fire going). Kathe was a great host and made sure that everything was in order and that we were comfortable. Perfect setting for a family stay. We will be back.

Great cabin that was exactly as advertised. The location is private and very peaceful, perfect for a low-key relaxing get away. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials. The host made the check-in process very simple and placed lots of helpful notes throughout the cabin.

Perfect getaway - the cabin is easily accessible but feels like it’s away from everything. Quiet, except for the beautiful creek and occasional car. The cabin is well-equipped with everything you might need and everything you didn’t know you needed. Exceptionally clean and beautifully appointed. I have not felt so relaxed as I was while at the cabin.

Perfect Rest

Beautiful landscaped yard with a creek that you can listen to while sitting on the cozy porch. Enjoyed visiting with the chipmunks, birds, hummingbirds and a huge blue heron flew by me on the porch. We felt incredibly relaxed during our visit. Home is cozy, beautifully decorated, clean and everything provided for our stay. Will be back!

Summer at Sleepy Creek

Sleepy Creek exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful week long family vacation. It was very clean and the beautiful weather was perfect for evenings playing games at the table by the creek. On rainy days, we enjoyed the time on the porch. If staying there during warmer months, it did get warm upstairs and we were running a bunch of fans to cool it off. Kathe was wonderful to work with and helpful during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful Get Away

Fabulous!! Even with All the rain it was so peaceful. The Hosts were very helpful with any and all questions. Great location to get to Boone, Blowing Rock etc.. Lots to do and see or just relax and enjoy the creek.

Weekend Get Away

We absolutely love this place! Our host, Kathe, went out of her way to make us feel welcome and assured that we had an everything we needed. Beautiful, clean home. A secluded cabin in the mountains, a fireplace and rushing creek are our must haves and this one checked every box!

Charming Cabin; Fabulous Stay

A family of four + 1 mountain-loving dog had a great time at Sleepy Creek. We spent four nights in the cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. The cabin is exquisitely maintained. It is warm and inviting and easy to get to. My family has a tradition of going to the mountains every Thanksgiving and this has been our favorite location by far.

Serene with all the comforts of home

Sleepy Creek cabin was the perfect place for us to unwind and reset. It has the perfect mixture of seclusion while still being close enough to anything you need or want to explore. Anniversary Trip/Sleepy Creek Log Cabin

What a beautiful log cabin and setting! We loved it from the moment we saw it through the trees as we drove in, and we were not disappointed when we walked in the door. We loved the rustic, cozy feeling throughout the house and enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the stream. The house was immaculate, well maintained, and well stocked. Highly recommend!

Anniversary Get Away Weekend

Sleepy Creek cabin was a wonderful 37th anniversary trip get away! Kathe was a wonderful host to work with and the cabin was impeccable stocked with everything a regular home would have. Extremely clean inside and the outside landscaping was beautiful to look at! We would highly recommend this cabin and plan on staying several more times in the future! Special time, special place!

Sleepy Creek Cabin

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of places in Virginia and North Carolina and I must say this has been my absolute favorite!! The cabin is rustic and charming just as pictured. The yard and landscaping is beautiful!!! The stream makes it even better! The location is great and is a short drive to West Jefferson. Kathe is a wonderful hostess and very responsive to your needs or questions. We will definitely stay again!
