Done
Room was once again not available when we went to check in. Booked a 2 bdr and was given 2-1 bedroom rooms and told they were next to each other, but were actually across the hall. I have a 8, 3, and 1 year old and 2 separate rooms do not work. The only reason we chose this hotel after previous bad experiences is because we need 2 bedrooms. We all ended up sleeping in 1 room where there were no sheets or pillows for the thin rock hard mattress on the pull out couch. Bathroom was dirty and had a hole in the door. Absolutely done with trying to stay at this hotel and will just pay for extra nights we don’t need to stay at airbnbs.

Linens and room were mostly clean, but carpets and furniture were well overdue for replacement and/or deep cleaning. Elevator inoperable. $10/day parking fee for an unsecured lot.

Won't Be Staying Again for Awhile
Despite reserving a room with a fireplace 2 days before I arrived, I was told "they were all sold out" when I checked in. On Day 2 I was moved to a room with a fireplace - THAT DIDN'T WORK - and to add insult to injury, the television DID NOT WORK, either. And then there were no plates or silverware in the room - I was told to look in the dishwasher - so I did, just one DIRTY CUP. To top it off, the breakfasts each day were sparse and barely qualified as a continental breakfast, not a full service breakfast such as Residence Inn usually provides.

Horrible hotel
The hotel was nasty, they gave away my room before I arrived, gave me the wrong room, hotel smells like cigarettes, carpets throughout building were nasty, rooms had no chairs for sitting, no trash cans, furniture had stains everywhere, mold throughout bathrooms, rusty stove and fridge Had no lower level rooms and I am 9 months pregnant and not supposed do steps and no one ever told me that elevator was broken. No one checks on room, people at desk on Sunday Oct 22 and Fri Oct 20 were horrible gave wrong room rates and prices, no manager was every present to fixed rates or to communicate when workers didn’t know how to fix it, food does not charge or rotate daily, pool was freezing cold my daughter is 4 and was only able to enjoy 5 mins in water.

Thank you Ms.Rudolph for your review I personally was in office today from 7am until 5pm today and I was not notified that you asked to speak with a manager about any of your concerns. I do apologize that your stay was not up to standard the hotel is well over 20 years old an has never had a renovation. We are an extended stay hotel so your room was never given away we house families who have had tragedies to there homes so we sometimes have to make other accommodations for guest who come in as we did for you. The rate you were given is the rate You booked through the third party it was just split in half due to us having to split your reservation. We also have set menus on what to serve each day as you stayed on the weekend an we are told to serve those items on Saturday and Sunday. I’m sorry your daughter wasn’t able to enjoy the pool I will have the maintenance team check the temps of the pool to see what can be done. If you would like to speak with a manager about what can be done for your inconveniences please reach out to the hotel tomorrow between 7a-3p and I will gladly assist you.

Horrible stay at Residence Inn Marriott Flint
My stay was horrible from the start. We had booked this room 3 months ago and requested a first floor suite. It is on the reservation and confirmed with the property. We get there and are told they have us on the third floor. Nothing was available until my husband came in to complain and then magically a room was available. Get things moved around, we are in a downgraded room, that was more expensive than what we booked at, and to top it off they are going to charge 10.00 per night for parking our car. The room was filthy. Bathroom had mold up the wall, the previous used towels from the prior guest were shoved into the vanity cabinet. The flooring was coming up, both the carpet and the wood floor. There were garlic cloves stuck in the gaps in the wood flooring. Large area's of carpet loose from backing. Hole in the ceiling above the bed. There were supposed to be chairs for the table and dishes/utensils. We ultimately found the dishes in the dishwasher that was sitting full of disgusting dirty water. Had to have chairs brought in from the lobby. The "couch" was a joke. It was ripped up on the side and beyond uncomfortable. I have stayed at better kept, cleaner Best Westerns. This is not what i would expect from a Marriott

The staff was rude And lazy just did not want to do their jobs. I couldn’t get the room I paid for and reserved from Expedia and I still had to pay the same price for a smaller room. The pool was closed my entire stay. What a waste of money

Mr.Andrew Hurtiii our pool is open everyday seems you may be upset due to your room type not being available we are an extended stay hotel the only one in the area so we do apologize but we did upgrade you to room that did cost more an we didn’t charge you any extra for it. If you would have come to the front desk we could have tried out best to make things right for you. Hopefully you’ll give us another chance to make things right.

When I went to check in, they told me they were not really pet friendly and they had a $150 charge for the dog. That’s about the same price as the room. They also had a sign on the desk that said the pet fee was $100. We told the desk clerk that was rediculous and she said she could cancel it and we could look elsewhere. She cancelled the room and we looked on line for another room. We found a room on line at the Hampton Inn suites, made the reservation and went to the hotel to check on. The desk clerk at the Hampton could not find the reservation because we found out I had reserved the room for the /3th not the 9th. She cancelled the reservation that we had for the 13th and checked us in today.

I did not like all the stains on the coach and office chair. I felt grossed out when the shower curtain had stuck to itself with a goop like substance. Also found a blue wash cloth hidden underneath the bottom of the shower curtain. The hotel wash clothes are white so... I liked it was quiet and friendly staff.

The furniture in two different rooms was piled on top of each other! Phones didn't work. The toilet had mold all over it. Furnace pieces laying around. Corporate inspected these rooms with us and immediately refunded you. I want you to now refund me.

What we didn't like like was the carpet of the room was worn out, not very clean. The front of the fridge was dirty & the hall smelt like old smokes. The bathroom fan was noisy & the tub drain was very slow. Compared to other Residence Inns, this one was just borderline okay, very disappointing!

We made the trip b/c our dog needed surgery, and booked this hotel b/c it allowed pets. However, this was by far the WORST hotel experience we have ever had. The first room we checked into was filthy, refrigerator wasn't working and had mold in it. We called front desk and Angela was great, she apologized and gave us another room. This room was dirty, but not was bad as the first room. We were in a tough spot because we had to stay somewhere that allowed dogs so we stayed that night, but checked out the next day and stayed somewhere else. We had already paid for two nights and when my husband talked to the front desk about the condition of the room and getting a refund, she said we paid through Expedia so there wasn't anything she could do. She never apologized or offered to get a manager, zilch. We took pictures of the deplorable room condition, if corporate is interested. If I were Marriott, I'd get my name off of this property.

The previous reviews are accurate. The hotel is aged and seriously in need of renovation. It’s filthy and appears to be a party hotel. Stained carpets, moldy shower curtain, dirty floors, debris in the hallways. I could go on but you get the idea. The staff were friendly and pleasant. The renovation can’t happen soon enough. Although I’m not sure that will solve the parties and noise that we encountered. This hotel is definitely not up to the usual standard you would expect to see with a Marriott.
