Guest house La Rivière Assoiffée

If you're looking to be close to the major tourist attractions of the Périgord Noir region while enjoying a peaceful, rural setting, then our cottage is perfect for you.
You'll have a 38 m² cottage on the ground floor of a renovated barn that we currently live in. You'll still be independent, with a kitchen with a dishwasher, a large living/dining room, and a bedroom equipped with a queen-size bed and an additional single bed.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower.
In the unfenced garden, you'll have access to garden furniture and a barbecue, complete with everything you need to enjoy the outdoors.

The house is set back from the village (about 200 m), on the banks of the river that runs at the bottom of the garden, a river that sometimes lacks water in some very hot summers. Located 10 km south of the heart of the major sites of the Dordogne valley (Châteaux of Castelnaud, Beynac and Milandes, La Roque-Gageac, bastides of Domme and Montpazier), it will allow you to recharge your batteries in peace and coolness between your visits. It is also located 5 km from the Vin de Domme cellar, a vineyard revived about 30 years ago. Sarlat, the jewel of the region, is only 20 km away. If the weather is hot, what could be better than going for a swim in the Dordogne (10 km away), it's much better than in a swimming pool! You can also see the major sites by canoe or gabarre, a superb trip guaranteed! If you feel like it, you can also rediscover from the sky all the sites you have visited (air tour with the Aéroclub du Sarladais, hot air balloon). You will need a few more kilometers to reach the Vézère valley and its major sites (Les Eyzies, Lascaux caves, Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, etc.)
The Lot is only 3 km away, allowing you to discover progressively different landscapes (Gourdon [13 km], Rocamadour, Martel, Gouffre de Padirac, Autoire, ...) Many sites to visit, caves, castles, gardens, typical markets and producers, restaurants, evening meals with local products at more than reasonable prices, enough to enjoy your stay in our beautiful region. Natives of the region, we will help you if you wish to concoct excursions in accordance with your desires. A place for your bicycles is available, the house being located on one of the cycle routes of the region (VR circuit of the Céou valley) Towels and sheets are provided. The bed will be made upon your arrival.
