  • Detta 5 sovrum och 4 badrum hemma på Folly Beach är lite äldre, men vackert, stort och välskött med många bekvämligheter. Hemmet är dekorerat med färg och sunt förnuft utan de påträngande, stranddekorationer som du hittar i många semesterbostäder i kusten. Trägolv löper genom det gemensamma området som till stor del består av vardagsrum, matsal och kök. Alla tre delar ett stort rum med gott om plats kvar. Väggen som vetter mot havet ��r täckt av höga fönster och dörrar som gör det möjligt att titta på den berusande strandplatsen från en av de tre sofforna. Men en mycket rymlig, omsluten däck sitter precis på andra sidan av dessa dörrar med en armé av gungstolar till ditt förfogande. Ovanför är ett annat stort däck som vilar även med taket som ger en fågelperspektiv över östra sidan av Folly Beach samt Atlanten. En privat tillgång till stranden säkerställer att du bara är några enkla steg från att sätta fötterna i sanden.

    Sovrummen är mattor, varav två har omedelbar tillgång till en lounge / bar som innehåller ett minikylskåp. Loungen ansluter också havsdäck till ett separat sidodäck som har utsikt över havet och träsket. Ett av de andra sovrummen har privat tillgång till sidodäck och eget badrum. Det stora sovrummet på denna semesteruthyrning på Folly Beach är en studie i klassisk kustlyx. Det är det enda sovrummet med trägolv samt det enda sovrummet på stranden av huset. Som sådan är det meddelandet med samma underbara havsutsikt som vardagsrummet / matsalen. Det stora badrummet har en helkaklad och rymlig stand-up dusch medan ett stort badkar är körsbäret på toppen. "Seascape Wonder" är långt borta från centrala rörelsen i Center Street. Även om det kommer att kräva en bilresa, eller åtminstone en cykeltur, för att komma dit, ger avståndet en tröstande ensamhet samt förmågan att lyssna på havet utan avbrott. Här är det lätt att förstå det lokala mantraet, "Sakta ner, det är dårskap".

Overall it was a wonderful vacation! I’m not totally sure what happened with the keypad lock on the front door but it was a non-issue after keys were dropped off. Beautiful home and just what we needed!

The place was beautiful! It was perfect to celebrate 3 weeks for my MIL’s 80th birthday! The master bathroom sink needs some attention. The bleach dispenser on the washing machine goes straight out to the floor. Carpets could use cleaning.The view and location was amazing! We had 8 at our maximum number of people and it was just grand.Dunes Properties was outstanding to work with! Very helpful and fun and friendly! We’d definitely go back! Thank you for a great stay!!!

Great beach house!

We stayed for the weekend to attend my nieces wedding and this house was perfect! The weather wasn’t great but it awesome to watch the huge waves from the house! Everyone had their own bathroom which is also wonderful! It’s a little bit older but very clean and has a great wide beach at low tide. I would highly recommend!

Simple and beautiful. The water comes in all the way to the house during high tide. Everything we needed was available in the house and near it. Folly is perfect.

Holiday Beach Stay

The property was even bigger than advertised! With 5 separate bedrooms and a sunroom with beds everyone was able to have their own space. The house sits ON the beach so we only had a few steps to be on the sand. Just a short drive to Charleston made the rainy days fly by. This is definitely a property to put on your short list!

Family Beach Week

If you select this home, you are selecting a house that is literally on the water and beach. The location is the primary draw. The beach is clean and wide at low tide; and 15 feet from your beach stairs (or closer) at high tide. We loved the beach access and convenience of having the house so close to the beach. This was especially welcome because we had several young kids (under three years old). Folly Beach is a funky place; the most "Keys-like" place I've seen outside of the Keys. The house is 15+ blocks from the Folly Beach downtown area and that is a positive. You can go to town if you want, or hang out away from town and enjoying beach, water, relative quiet. The house is a tired, old girl. Enjoy the location; the house is serviceable. The pictures of the house are better than the actual. The accessibility of the beach is the best benefit and probably worth it, but be aware, you are not renting a clean, up-to-date, modern, well-appointed house. You are renting the beach access (and it is wonderful).

Fun Time on Folly

The house was the perfect size for our group. It was bigger than I had imagined. The furniture in the living room was newer and some still with the tags hanging off. Very comfortable with seats that recline on the ends. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils, cookie sheets, drinking glasses, and other supplies. My only suggestions: 1. All mattress pads need to be replaced and most of the pillows. 2. Bigger skillets for the kitchen. We had to use a small skillet to cook only 6 scrambled eggs at a time which was a challenge for a larger group. 3. Some more mixing bowls would be nice too. The island was awesome with great local restaurants, shops, and other things to do. Some of our favorites were Rita's (great smoked wings), The Lost Dog Cafe (great breakfast and coffee), Taco Boy (great tacos), and Center Street Coffee (they had a list of favorite drinks which you can change up if you wish). One of our favorite restaurants was just over the bridge from the island at Bowen's Island Restaurant. Fresh seafood, great drinks, and service was fast and very friendly. We will be back!! Thanks for a great stay!

Awesome location! Big enough for 3 families

Seascape Wonder was the perfect place for 3 families to stay. We had ages ranging from 7-81 and it was great to be oceanfront. We had stayed in this home years ago and the updates made it comfortable for all. It found it very clean upon arrival And for the most part, well stocked for items we needed for our stay. A couple of items that would only make the stay better- add cookie sheets to the kitchen items and add some lower cabinets by the kitchen table. We did stay in a few nights for dinner and dinner prep was challenging due to lack of counter space. All in all, it was a great week and we would definitely rent Seascape Wonder again!

Amazing Beachfront Vacation

Just what we were hoping for when we looked into staying in Charleston. We had never been to the area and wanted to have a great experience and decided to try to stay on Folly Beach and right on the Ocean. The deck is everything you can imagine - sitting out listening to the ocean literally steps from you. We also enjoyed the upstairs deck for some additional sun time when it got warm enough. We were there late February through March 6 and the weather was generally 60s and low 70s. Could not have asked for a better place to stay - will have to come back! The group we had utilized all 5 rooms (plus one additional porch room with a single bed) and it was perfect. As a warning though, UBER drivers do not like coming out this far onto Folly Beach during rush hours. You will definitely want to rent a car if staying at this place and you want to get around and to Charleston. Really enjoyed our time here!

lovely house right on the beach

The house was spacious and comfortable, with a superb location on the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend it. We were there mid-December when things are quiet and not crowded, but it was an unseasonably warm week so that was nice. Saw lots of dolphins off shore and enjoyed watching the surfers.

We came across the country for a wedding and wanted to stay where we could easily walk out to the beach for a stroll or water activities. When at the house, most of our time was spent on the decks, watching sunrises, stars from the rooftop, and enjoying the roar of the waves. Although the decor of the house is a bit dated, the outdoor spaces made up for it.

Family/Friends Vacation

My husband, two daughters and I rented this property with our close friends and their daughter for 10 days. The best part of the house was the LOCATION!! You are right on the beach, so it doesn’t get any better than that. The house is spacious, comfortably sleeping 10, and almost every room has a bathroom attached. We ate most dinners on the deck which was spacious and a great gathering spot. Some aspects of the house needed some TLC/updating (window in the master bathroom leaked during a storm, some door knobs were loose/jiggly, and some doors got caught on the flooring), but those didn’t ruin our stay. The majority of our time was spent on the beach and we can’t wait to get back!!

My family got together for a long weekend in Charleston. We came from North Carolina, South Carolina, Indiana, Montana and Arizona. The house was perfect for us, my five kids and significant others.
