Excellent location and amazing area!
Condo was exactly as described. This place is so close to the lake without being in the middle of all the hustle of everyday life. The outdoor entertaining area has ample seating, tons of trees, and even a tie out for your dog to run back and forth. The resort area is perfect for walks and they even have a pond with fishing access. Our only minor complaint, and this could definitely be specific to the area we were in being so heavily wooded, but there were a lot of cobwebs and dirt inside the condo and on the outdoor furniture. We used the porch swing and it was great for us.

Amazing getaway
My family and I hadn’t been away in over 5 years. This was a much needed vacation. Scott is an absolutely amazing host. He was very responsive and helpful. We’ve never used VRBO before so I was hesitant. The home was just as described and cozy. The property is beautiful and everyone was kind and helpful. We will absolutely return. Thank you, Scott!!! Abbey Springs Condo
This unit is so private, facing a wooded area. We were able to read and sip coffee in the rocking chairs in the morning, and listen to music with cocktails in the evening. It was the perfect size for our small family and the amenities (indoor/outdoor pool, beach, restaurants, etc.) were just a 5 minute walk away. Well stocked with necessities (and TVs!) and excellent communication with owner prior and after our stay.

Great vacation!
My husband, puppy and myself stayed at Steve Maddens unit. We were privately secluded in the back which was exactly what our family needed We are golfers and love fine dining but also have a dog so this is a perfect location for both worlds. Love the gate check ins so tiff raft stays out. Golf course and staff soooo accommodating Steve The owner was nothing but hospitable and wish we could have met them in person!! But next time for sure!! Thanks for everything and for a great stay in your adorable condo!! 2 bathrooms was great! Thanks for everything and we will def be back!!!!

Didn’t stay a night
Everything was bad from the beginning. Sent pictures to owner when we arrived showing how dirty the condo was. Pulled back sheets on bed and noticed dog hair plus sheets didn’t appear to be clean. Called owner that night without much sympathy. Said he would send cleaning lady the next day. Didn’t do us any good that night. We left that night for other lodging and didn’t return for are other 2 nights we payed for. Pictures on vrbo looked mucbetter than in person.

PLEASE READ OTHER REVIEWS. Everything listed by this person is not the way it is. I asked for photos of his complaints and were given pics of the back of the washer/dryer which showed a few cob webs. None of the pics showed dirty sheets or any other cleanliness issues. After seeing what he sent I asked to see pics of what he was talking about and he could not produce them. My cleaning crew is top notch and would never put on sheets with hair on them. I strive to make all guests feel at home upon arrival. In this case it did not work out but I will make sure cob webs are gone behind the washer/dryer for future guests!

Absolutely perfect!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the unit and facilities wonderful. The beds were comfortable and we just loved the amazing porch with ample seating. We enjoyed the on-site restaurant and pool facilities. The private access to the lake across the street was also a bonus. We will return for sure!

Great stay in Abbey Springs - Madden's Escape
We had a wonderful time in Abbey Springs. The area is beautiful and we really appreciated the accommodations at Madden's place, the sizeable deck was a family favorite and the overall space just right for our family of 4, plus our dog! Scott was easy to work with and very responsive. We plan on returning.

Cozy and Convenient
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Scott's place. My kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the Abbey Springs amenities and the proximity to the beach. Scott is a very responsive owner and provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay. That said there were some issues. The oven had not been cleaned in a long time and after a short pre-heat the entire unit filled with smoke. The pillows should all be replaced as well as they were very old and badly stained. We were also surprised to receive a $140.00 charge after checking out claiming that one of the box springs was broke? But overall for the reasonable price it's a nice place.

I appreciate your review. The oven is cleaned monthly and the pillows are being replaced. Thanks for the heads up! As for the box spring.... if someone in your group breaks an item of my home I will have to charge you for it. That's what the security deposit is for. Hopefully next time the kids won't jump on the bed.

Labor Day Weekend Stay
Had such a great stay at Scott's place in Abbey Springs. Condo was freshly cleaned prior to arrival and had all the neccessary pots and pans for making meals for our group over the weekend. Scott is super easy to get in contact with and responsive! We had such a great weekend at Scott's property.

Disappointing Stay
After viewing photos this property appeared to be on Lake Geneva. In fact it is across a busy street and in a forested area and a walk to the lake. The unit was a bit run down although the kitchen was recently refurbished and it was well stocked. TV didn’t work in bedroom. Although not the fault of the owner, there was massive construction going on on the road behind the condo which also made for a noisy experience. Overall a disappointing stay.

Great Location!
My grandchildren and I had a wonderful time! The condo is hidden away, yet close to all the amenities. It was great to have the extra half bath for 4 people! :-) The sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly for us. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of seating. The kids were happy to have a nice television in their bedroom with Netflix! We spent a lot of time on the beach and in the water. The weather was perfect. We had a terrific time!!

Nice place for weekend getaway
My wife and I rented this place for a weekend getaway for our anniversary weekend. It served its purpose in terms of a place to stay - we were happy we could bring our two older dogs with us. The place overall was fine, it could just use a good deep cleaning.

Wonderful resort getaway!
This property was wonderful to stay at. The resort has so many amenities that are usable in any weather. The unit itself is well kept and cozy making you feel at home. Scott was a wonderful host and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Great getaway
We had a wonderful time staying here. The outdoor deck was huge and added so much extra space to the unit! The resort amenities and golf cart made it such an easy weekend with our three kids. The owner was great to work with and we really appreciated being able to bring our dog! We would definitely book here again.

New Favorite Vacation Spot!
The property was a nice and cozy spot for our family of five. We were close proximity to the resort beach. I would highly suggest renting the golf cart if available. It was under repairs while we were there so we just drove to the amenities. The property was in good shape and other condo renters were quiet. The recommendations by the owner were great. Favorite places to eat out were Chuck’s Lakeside, Sammy’s on the Square, and Pino’s Last Call. We loved the Lake Geneva area so much, it is on our list as a future retirement spot. We can’t wait to come back again.

Great times at the Lake
We had a great time in Lake Geneva at the Madden Escape. Loved the location, and the property was very nice. We went fishing at the docks and caught at least 20 fish. Kids had a lot of fun at the pool.

Easy to book, great place, loved the golf cart and Abbey Springs!
The owner was super responsive and made booking easy. The condo is very clean and neatly decorated. Nice big deck for relaxing. The golf cart was super fun to drive around. We enjoyed all the restaurants, beach, and indoor/outdoor pools of Abbey Springs. We will be back!

All six of us fit comfortably in this condo. Large decking added to living space.
Location was easy to find and close to amenities of beach whether walked or driving golf cart. Easy access to Fontana. Owner was very responsive by email. Cozy unit and hope to stay again.

Girls Trip
We spent 5 days here for a girls only trip. We loved it! The owner was super helpful in answering all of our questions and he stayed in touch with us throughout our trip . The house had a great porch for us to sit on and visit, we chose to rent the golf cart which added fun to the week also. All of the grounds were beautiful and every one of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We would definately stay here again!

Perfect Summer Lake Vacation
Loved this place. The best was the Club House facilities. The kids loved the outside and inside pools. Me and my husband loved the hot tub, sauna, weight room, and locker rooms. We brought our bikes and enjoyed riding them the short distance both to the club house and the beach but I would recommend renting the golf cart. Everyone else looked like they were really enjoying riding them. The kids loved their room with the triple bunk bed and their own TV. Everything else was great like the updated kitchen, clean bathrooms and linens, and I loved having the washing machine and dryer too. Owners were great. They responded quickly to an email question I had and called the first day to see if I had any questions. Love to come back next summer. Thank you

Excellent location

Great time in Fontana
We had a terrific stay in the condo. The condo had everything we needed for 5 guests we were very comfortable. The Resort area is beautiful if you enjoy walking or running the view of Lake Geneva is great. We ate at the Resort and Yacht Club food was A+. Lake Geneva is a short drive to shop and eat. We will definitely come back. Thank you for a great week.
