Beautifully located but Americanised
We went on a mini-honeymoon for a long weekend. The positive parts with the hotel: excellent and friendly service, extremely beautifully located on a big rock, the gym is new and clean, the private access to the sea and easiness to go into the sea, great pool and sunbathing opportunities and complete privacy from other visitors than the hotel guests. The breakfast was also really wonderful. The negative parts with the hotel: the standard double room (with sea view) that we stayed in was very old and definitely not renovated in long time, dirt in the corners and the feel of 'used'. No coffee or tea in the room (no water boiler), and the restaurant food could have been a lot better for being Italy (a little bit Americanised) and we did not really recognise the five start level on the food / menu in the restaurant the products taste, the freshness (as we live in Switzerland we have access to great Italian food all the time). The surroundings of the hotel was full of garbage - I made a walk outside the hotel but on the little road that goes to the hotel and I was surprised to see so much trash everywhere. I guess the hotel could clean this up to make a better impression as this is the first thing you see before you arrive at the hotel. All in all to be recommended for a shorter stay, a weekend away or similar.

Unbelievably beautiful hotel!
My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon here, and we have to say that we found it fantastic. The hotel has its own private bay, swimming pool and views from the rooms and restaurants to die for. We rented a boat and drove around the whole of Ischia one day and it was magical. Only concerns that we had were that the bar + restaurants became quite empty after dinner time (would have been nice for it to be livelier) and on average the restaurants and hotel services are quite expensive (but perhaps worth it). Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

The property is uniquely beautiful with pool and sea to swim in, thermal pools, a spa and tennis court as well as cocktail area, restaurant and lunch restaurant. Very relaxing . Excellent staff. Some walking up and down stairs required but a golf cart is available for part of it. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Très beau séjour de 2 nuits dans cet hôtel fantastique! Le personnel était au petits soins pour nous, la chambre avec terrasse sur mer extraordinaire. Amazing hotel /spa experience In grand style
This was such an amazing stay fantastic upgrade with a sea view in the tower main building. Staff are bar none with impeccable service. Spa facilities on site, outdoor spa hot salt water pool, indoor pools at 38c, sauna, steam, cold bath, spa and massage treatment options to schedule. Recommended to feel comfortable on site in your bathrobe at any time. A wonderful hotel experience we’ll never forget, and will absolutely return. 5 star.

Hotel was nice to upgrade us and the property is incredible and views are stunning. The staff were terrific and very accommodating. Upgraded room with sea views was comfortable but quite cramped. This was the smallest room we had on our trip all over Amalfi Coast and Capri. Hopefully the hotel has plans to expand the room slightly. Otherwise, everything was terrific!

Excellent location with beautiful scenery but far away from town. Staff was very attentive. We arrived on a rainy day and was greeted by staff with umbrellas at the entrance to the hotel. The only bad point is that a taxi is needed to get anywhere on the island and cost 40 euros to get there from the ischia ferry port

The best place!
Mezzatorre wasn't absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend a place more. The staff was so fantastic and accommodating. The hotel is so beautiful it is unreal. The food was delicious (and the breakfast spread, my god)! I am already dreaming of my next stay at Mezzatorre.

From the moment you pass through the gate to the driveway you know you've arrived into another world. The service was impeccable from the front desk to the restaurants, with a special mention to Pasquale, the shuttle bus driver. The food was outstanding. The hotel is a bit far from anything else which can be a good thing or a bad, that depends on you. There is a shuttle to take you into the nearest town, Lacco Ameno but it's not easy to walk anywhere outside of the hotel. However, the grounds of this place are so beautiful, you might not want to leave.

I highly recommend the Mezzatore for 2-3 nights at the begging of a multi-city trip along the coast as it is the perfect place to rest and relax after traveling. The property itself is beautiful with a pool on a cliff overlooking the ocean, and the staff could not be any nicer. They do everything possible to make you feel at home. Breakfast is complimentary and very good. Lots of menu options for lunch that can be purchased at the pool. Diner in the main dining room was a nice experience with the live piano music and view. Again, the wait staff was top notch during all dining experiences. They all speak proficient English. Our bed was very comfortable and the property seemed very clean and well maintained. As is true for most places along the coast, there is not much to do in the event of rain. The hotel is located at the Northwestern tip of the island and their shuttle bus (van) has only one stop in a nearby village with a limited schedule.
