Bra boende perfekt läge lite slitet fantastiskt vy. Delfiner fanns utanför i vattnet som vi kunde titta på :-)

Great!
Rooms are spacious, clean and nice. Big bed and parking outaide of the hotel. Excellent location with a nice pool. Too bad we only stayed one night. Will deff return here if ever on this side of the states again.

Mysigt hotell med fantastisk utsikt
Lovers Key resort ligger otroligt vackert! Vi kom körande söderifrån och blev helt tagna av de vackra vyerna! Väl på hotellet så är det värt att försöka få ett rum högt upp! Köket är ok utrustat. Lite gammalmodigt men ändå fräscht!

Litet mysigt familjehotell i naturläge
Vi besökte Lovers Key för första gången för cirka 25 år sedan. Nu är det 12 år sedan vi var där sist. Hotellet har klarat sig bra genom åren, vi ser inte att man gjort större renoveringar. (Kanske dags snart.) Rent och fräscht och perfekt för barnfamiljer. Be om ett rum med utsikt mot innanhavet så kan du se delfinerna leka! Verkligen fint! Obs! Undvik att åka dit i sommar pga det inte går att vistas på stranden för red tide, giftig algblomning. Fiskar och sjökor dör, och det är även skadligt för människor att andas in luften. Gäller hela sträckan Tampa-Naples.

Lovers Key Resort
Fint läge precis vid en bukt där vi dagligen såg delfiner simma. Vår lägenhet var stor och hade stora fönster ut mot vattnet. Äldre skick på inredning, typ 80-tal, men ändå funktionellt. Kök med allt som behövs för självhushåll. Helt ok pool, uppskattades av barnen. Bra restaurang. Nära till flera stränder. Vi är nöjda med vår vistelse och om man är ok med lite 80-tals stil på inredningen kan vi verkligen rekommendera detta hotell.

Bodde på våning 10 med fantastisk balkong och enastående utsikt mot Lovers Key. Fantastiskt djurliv med delfiner och fåglar. Fint poolområde. Ingen strand i närheten, obekväm bäddsoffa, högt ljud från luftkonditioneringen

Fin utsikt
Vi bokade en lyxlägenhet - väl framme vid incheck fick vi reda på att lägenheten var på andra våningen. Se till och kom högre upp - vi lyckades få en likvärdig lägenhet på sjunde våningen. Magisk utsikt med både morgonsol och kvällssol. Stort kök - restaurang vid den fina poolen. Trevlig personal, men det luktade ofta starkt med rengöringsmedel vilket är minus om man har astma. Ett mycket trevligt boende för hela familjen och jag återkommer gärna fler ggr. Trevlig omgivning. Hotellet ligger strax utanför Fort Myers Beach. Man är beroende av bilen, det finns inga promenadstråk eller badstrand i direkt anslutning till hotellet. Däremot finns en nationalpark på andra sidan vägen (c:a 400 m) med en sandstrand, c:a 500 meter söderut längs med väg 865 finns huvudentrén till nationalparken, väl värd att besöka ($8/ bil och dag). Dock är det farliga strömmar i området - så undvik bad vid röd flagga. Bättre att ta bilen och köra till Fort Myers beach eller söderut till Bonita beach, mer långgrunt. Närmaste affären är Publix i Fort Myers och där finns även apotek. I området finns väldigt bra shopping, det tar c:a 40 minuter att köra till Miromar Outlet (vid i75). Gott om affärer till hela familjen. I Naples finns Coastland Center med bl.a. Macy´s och Sears mfl. Lyxshopping finns på Waterside shops (Nordstrand mfl). Behöver du besöka Applestore finns det en på waterside och en längre norrut (c:a 30 min) vid Coconut point.

Bra med litet kök så att vi kunde laga barnens favoritmat. Härlig resturang alldeles utanför poolområdet. Missa inte lovers keys naturstrand. Helt underbart!!!

Trevligt ställe, med ett lugnt läge
Rummet/lägenheten var den största som vi hade under vår tre vecka långa resa runt i USA. Det bestod av ett vardagsrum med bäddsoffa och ett sovrum med en king size säng + balkong. Det enda som inte var så bra var bäddsoffan, annars så var det ett toppenhotell, med ett gym som var bättre än genomsnittet och ett lite avskilt läge med bra pool och en mycket fin frukost (om än inte så stor).

Ställe för äldre?
Fint flott hotell till största delen bebott av pensionärer. Vi var där en natt för att besöka lovers Key nationalpark som var väldigt vacker. På kvällen tog vi taxi ca en mil till fort myers norra del där restauranger och livemusik fanns. Om ni vill ha detta rekommenderar vi er att bo där.

Beautiful hotel with a spectacular view from the balcony. We Loved everything about the hotel and we even choose to stay longer. The hotel is located in a state park so it is really close to the beaches but also only a 5 minute drive from a supermarket and some restaurants.

Lovers Key Resort
Ett typiskt pensionärshotell. Mestadels äldre rika amerikaner på gästlistan och således inte vidare barnvänligt. Läget är dock imponerande med en fantastisk sandstrand 300 m från hotellet. Frukosten som ingick i rumspriset var dock under all kritik för att vara på ett 3-stjärnigt hotell, den bestod endast av blaskigt kaffe och en gammal donut. Hotellet ligger väldigt otillgängligt om man exv skulle vilja gå ut och gå en sväng på kvällen, då enda vägen dit är via en hårt trafikerad klaffbro.

Everything worked but the appliances and countertops were very old and worn out and the carpet was frayed and there were a lot of rolls in the carpet. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable and the balcony was tiny although the view is outstanding. The pool Is very nice, the jacuzzi not so much. There was one day where we barely was able to make it out of the parking lot as a construction worker’s truck blocked the exit. There was no construction noise so that was nice. However, there was a water problem with a neighboring resort and we had no water at all for five hours. We stayed there for a week in early May 2024. We would not stay there again. We were allowed one cleaning after five days - the cleaner did a great job even though The resort did not have any water at that time . The cleaner changed the bedsheets, changed out the towels and vacuumed. She was very pleasant and efficient

The property was centrally located to multiple areas we wanted to see. It was quiet and easy to get on and off the property to the main road. There was no beach access but it was very close to the lovers key beach access. Not walkable but an easy drive. You definitely need to have a car. You couldn’t walk to anyplace accept Flippers restaurant, which always had at least an hour wait.

We were there at a time when construction was taking place, so the road into Lovers key was in need of great repair. Our toilet in our unit overflowed and there wasn't a phone in our unit to call maintenance, so I went to the front desk for help. No one was working at the office but, a maintenance man was in the inner office and he came up to help us out. The elevator wasn't fully operational all the time. The restaurant next door, Flippers was very convenient. I'm sure in a few more years when Fort Meyers isn't under going so much rebuilding that roads and bridges are open, things will be better overall. The heated pool was nice as was the gym. It wasn't the most convenient to go to the front desk each morning to get clean towels. Again hopefully in a few more years when more construction is completed in Fort Meyers, there will be more employees to handle housekeeping duties, a shuttle to and from the airport as well as taking guests to shops the beaches and excursions would be a plus.

The price quoted by Expedia is not what was required at check in. Not given a good explanation of the reason other than Expedia was wrong. The kitchen appliances were worn. Only had 3 plates, one teaspoon and 3 forks. Staff was friendly.

The resort, as in the general area, was reopened a little too soon. There were some issues, namely things not working plus major reconstruction within the community that caused problems. If you are going to open under these conditions, there should be somewhat of a rate cut. There wasn't.

Help from Hotels.com……forget it
Hotels.com blocked my attempts to contact the hotel before my stay which was very disappointing and annoying. The views of the bay were non existent, we had a view of the car park. The balcony floor was not repaired following last years hurricane, was sandy and had bugs living in it. The staff were very helpful and immediately put right short comings.

The entire area is still trying to recover from hurricane Ian. Limited areas are open and a lot of construction still happening. Staff was exceptional. Resort is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

An unpleasant surprise
We arrived on Nov. 25 surprised to find that the resort building and site were a hard hat construction area, with scaffolding going up and down the building. The first floor of the building was also under construction. At the first floor front desk we were told we had to pay $500 something. After showing your price summary that we should only owe $415.04, the clerk faxed our info somewhere and later on came back to say we owed another $50. We agreed and after we came home she had actually charged us $50.17 and another $47.95!!! The suite that we had was not clean: the floor was filthy and the paint on the floor of the balcony was peeling and the sliding doors were dirty. The stove knobs were greasy. And the direct access to water was not open. On Monday morning, the construction crew promptly started at 8 AM and was extremely noisy with machines going. They were still working at 5 PM. They started again on Tuesday at 8 AM. I remember reading something about the damage due to Hurricane Ian last year. But they should never have reopened until they were finished with their repair. It was not a pleasant experience.

Property is under renovations which is clearly stated upon booking, but rooms rooms are a hit or miss apparently. We stayed in a room that was dirty, missing blinds, bed was covered in different types of hair, and very outdated. We checked out early due to this but the staff was awesome in helping us out and making sure we felt accommodated. They gave us a full refund and were very apologetic. I understand it’s not their fault the room was this way. It’s really sad we couldn’t enjoy as the views from the room were amazing and it’s really peaceful and quiet at the hotel.

Horrible weekend getaway
Our weekend getaway was a horrible experience. The resort had an ongoing construction and repair work during our stay. We were never notified of this situation. We were very frustrated because there weren't any vending or ice machines available. Information provided by the resort regarding restaurants that were operating were incorrect. Overall we are very dissatisfied and we are not planning to come back or recommend to anyone,

Lovers Key and area was hit directly by Hurricane Ian just a year ago. The area is slowly coming back and Lovers Key Resort is one of the few resorts open in the area. Lovers Key Resort is still working on their building and amenities but all and all it was a Great place for a 2 day get away.
