20 ACRES av lugn bredvid Desoto State Park

Oakleaf Hideaway är en nyligen renoverad stuga inbäddat i träden på 20 privata tunnland på toppen av Lookout Mountain. Stugan har privata vandringsleder, vattenfall och 2 000 fot fasad på Straight Creek. Stugan är din perfekta resa att varva ner och ladda. Ligger bara 1. 5 miles från besökscentret i Desoto State Park, stugan ligger nära allt inklusive Mentone, Little River Canyon och Ft. Payne.

Master Suite:
Njut av lugnet i skogen och gyllene solnedgångar från bekvämligheten med den lyxiga King-sängen med 600 trådlinne. Franska dörrar leder till det stora bakre däck med en eldstad.

Befälhavaren har också en sittgrupp med en antik soffa från Frankrike, en master garderob, bröst och ett master badrum med en fullstor tvättmaskin och torktumlare.

Gästrum:
Gäst sovrummet har två enkelsängar som kan skjutas ihop för par. Detta ljusa och luftiga rum har vacker utsikt över skogen och har lyxiga sängkläder, draperier och en väggmålning inramad med åldrande lokalt trä.

Kök:
Det välutrustade kockens kök har varma bänkskivor för slaktblock, en stor rustik ö, nya svartrostfria apparater med gasspis och flera detaljer byggda av trä från en närliggande 1800-talslada. Råsågna öppna hyllor från en närliggande familjegård sätter igång den vackra och konstnärliga inredningen.

Vardagsrum matsal:
Det öppna konceptet vardagsrum utstrålar mysighet och värme. Handskrapade trägolv, trä accentväggar och den kalkade öppen spis och vedeldad spis gör även de kallaste dagarna underbara. En 40-tums 4k smart-tv har Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime och Apple TV-appar. Ta bara med din favoritinloggning för TV-leverantören och njut av en filmkväll. Vi tycker att de bästa dagarna är de dagar som tillbringas utanför, men vi har snabb WiFi och LTE / 4G-täckning. Vardagsrummet har också en utdragbar bäddsoffa med en bekväm ny skummadrass.

Matsalen har plats för sex (vi har pressat 9 runt bordet), och vi erbjuder porslin och service för sex också.

Expectations Exceeded

Everything in the VRBO description was spot on, but better. We felt like we belonged here. A/C went out the first night and the owner had it repaired the next morning! We absolutely loved staying here…the personal welcome note, the dog goodies and attention to every thing to make us comfortable made this a mini vacay that we’ll treasure forever.

Little River Cabin

This was great location, right between the Desoto Park and Little River Canyon. If you're looking for private charming cabin that's in the middle of everything in the area, this is the place. We will be staying here again.

Best appointed VRBO ever!

David and Lilly have furnished their cabin in the woods with everything you could want. From 4 different coffee making options, to a full kitchen with top notch furnishings including real plates and glasses (not cheap plastic stuff). They even left a personal greeting plus a special treat to enjoy in the evening.The cabin was very comfortable and fairly secluded, if you want to get away, but still easy to get to.They also communicated very well, advising easy checking instructions before we arrived. They reached out on our first morning to make sure our first night went well. They also responded very quickly to a couple of questions that came up during our stay. I wish all VRBO managers were this great to work with.

Nature Abounds

If you’re seeking serenity and the comforts of a well-appointed home, look no further. This gorgeous home is situated on 20 private acres, which boasts a waterfall and creek on the property. Outdoor seating abounds on this property, as you will find benches, chairs around a fire ring, a picnic table, porch swing, and even a cozy daybed on the screened in porch. All of which are perfect for resting and taking in nature. The interior of the home is perfection! Antiques, including beautiful sets of china, are tastefully sprinkled throughout the home. Reclaimed wood accents add a special touch to the decor & bring nature into the home. Books, games, a piano, ukulele, & guitar are available, too. Lighting in the home creates a peaceful ambiance any time of day. Housekeeping does a fantastic job ensuring the home is clean and prepared for guests. Bed linens are soft 100% cotton and the mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is stocked well, having pretty much anything you need. Fresh flowers were placed in various spots in the house & a welcome message was written on the chalkboard door in the kitchen. David & Lilly have created an oasis you will not want to leave!

Marriage getaway

Great get away. Home is perfect! Piano/guitar was a surprise for my musically talented hubby. Love the Roman shades, easy to raise and get the full pic of outdoors. The Christmas decor was nice and cozy.

Hidden Gem

We had a wonderful stay at this woodsy hideaway! Everything was perfect from the excellent directions to the super comfy king bed. The pictures do not even do the place justice. Wonderfully appointed kitchen with everything we needed. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch listening to the birds and even saw a few deer pass by. Close to great hiking at De Soto and Little River Canyon. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

We had a great time. It’s very convenient to the state park and a great place for runs. The house had some great touches and the screen porch was great for reading and relaxing. The host communicated every step of the way and was very helpful when we left a couple of things behind. The dogs loved it too.

Very clean and great location

The cabin was very clean and the location was great real close to the state parks . The outdoor area was a little overgrown and the keypad to get into the cabin was very sensitive and took several tries each time to get in. But overall fabulous place to stay and super clean and great location.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

The host contacted us after checkin to make sure we found the home as described and see if we needed anything. He was helpful and responded quickly to any inquiries. The cabin is warm and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked with everthing you could need and more. The masterbed is very comfortable and the view into the woods from the deck is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. The property was so enjoyable, whether sitting on the front swing looking into the small garden or exploring the trail down to the creek and waterfall. I have to mention how sweet it was to have a 3 dog welcoming committee whenever we drove onto the property! What a treat and my dog made quick friends! We would book this cabin again and highly recommend it for any nature lover who is looking for a serene place to stay.

This is a beautiful woodsy cottage close to the town. It has a wonderful layout, and is decorated beautifully. Everything was neat and clean. The side porch was perfect. The back deck could use a little work, but it wasn’t too bad.

Very cute and clean cabin

As others have said, the pictures don't do this property justice. It is very well decorated and impeccably clean. We made a point to enjoy all the special spots: the fire table on the back deck, the day bed on the screened porch, the wood burning fireplace inside, the swing on the front porch, and the creek out back. Location was great: we hiked DeSoto and Little River Canyon during our stay, and enjoyed some beautiful drives in the area

Perfect Getaway

Oakleaf Hideaway was the perfect place for a getaway. My 2 sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed a much-needed getaway after the passing of our 91-year-old father, plus one sister having been diagnosed this year with 4th stage cancer. The cabin was just lovely and had everything we needed, plus some. It’s in the backyard of DeSoto State Park and very convenient to everything nearby. We were not ready to leave this lovely place and will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks for letting us enjoy your lovely hideaway.

Five-star rating is well-deserved!

It's not often that a place fully lives up to its description, but this one definitely does and more! The location is peaceful and private, but also very close to hiking trails, Mentone, and Fort Payne. The house itself is beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches (like string lights and live plants and super soft sheets). And the kitchen has absolutely everything! Also very pet friendly with dog bowls, crate, towels, etc. provided. (There are a couple of loose neighbor dogs who will approach you as you enter/leave the property; they are friendly, but they do bark at you.) We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
