Fourth of July Birthday

I brought 6 children with me (alone) to celebrate my eldest's 16th birthday and we had a wonderful time! For the price and amenities this place was perfect. Hosts communication was very responsive, especially after a long drive! I had read the reviews and knew the couch would be broken, that was really not an issue. There were lots of beach toys in the unit, not a lot of plates (6 dinner)- recommend getting paper plates. The unit had a wonderful view, the grounds were perfect for our age group (8-16) the pool was wonderful for ease with littles. They had activities at night- glow party, movies, fireworks for the 4th. Easy walk to the pier, quick drive to Publix. This unit comes with 2 beach chairs & umbrella, you just walk out and pick a spot that isn't claimed, which was so wonderful! Plenty of people had their own chairs and tents set up too. Already recommended to several friends!

Spring Vacation

The Waterscapes building, parking, location, and outdoor areas were all kept very clean and well maintained. Perfect place for a family with small children. The unit we stayed in was plenty clean, except some of the kitchen drawers/cabinets definitely could’ve used some more detailed cleaning. The living room couch does need to be replaced, but it didn’t really negatively impact our experience. Overall, the unit has general wear and tear, but was kept in good shape and decently clean.

Great for families with children!

The location is perfect to see and do all the best there is to offer in the area. Including Destin. The pools are very safe and designed for each age group. My children 11 and 13 had the best time here in the pools. Very clean, and well maintained! This is our second visit to the Waterscape. We will be back!! Love it

Great views. Terrible livingroom.

The condo is cute. Well laid out and the balcony view is the BEST. The livingroom couch and chair are both broken. The cashe goes to the wood when you try to sit down. The chair leg is broken. There was NO WAY to sit in the living room and watch movies. Useless. We used the master tv to watch movies. Replace the couch and chair so folks can enjoy and see the beautiful views.

Outstanding Fort Walton Condo Rental

The condo was extremely clean upon our arrival and that was important to us. The beds were comfortable. The AC and Washer/Dryer worked well and it was very easy to hook up our own Netflix/Prime accounts to the TV in the room. There were plenty of bath towels for our family of 5 (we brought our own beach towels). The room had great views of the resort and ocean. The grounds staff did well keeping everything outside clean all the time. The snack shack staff was very nice and professional. Our kids are 4, 6 and 8 and they were all entertained the entire time. Lily pads for the big kids and zero-entry/fountains for the little one. I had to call around to find the WiFi password but my requests were answered almost immediately. We would 100% stay there again and refer friends & family to Waterscape.

More pros than cons

The property itself was great! We were there for my daughter’s dance competition and several dance families stayed on the this property. It was super convenient to have the kids meet at the pool area or even the beach. Pools and lazy rivers were a big hit! This specific unit was mostly good. The dryer wasn’t great — every load had to run more than once. There were no pantry items at all. In previous condos, there would be some basic things like olive oil, salt & pepper and garlic salt. Nothing here. Aside from those small things, it was a very nice unit. Plenty of space, nice patio, clean and it was nice to be able to park on the same level as the condo unit. Would stay here again.

Perfect for all ages

Overall we enjoyed staying here. The variety of pools were great for all ages. We enjoyed being able to grill by the pools as well. The beach is close which is great for little ones to be able to go back to the room as needed. The provided beach service was awesome as well. The condo itself had the basic amenities. However, the refrigerator/freezer did not make ice, so you’ll have to get that which is available down by the pool for $3.50 a bag. There wasn’t a dust pan that we could find to help keep up with the sand clean up. And the TV situation was frustrating at first in the living room, but we were able to figure it out. The TV in the master bedroom was glitchy and we were unable to watch TV in there. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely be back! The views were awesome, you could see the pools and the ocean.

Not up to standards or worth the price

This unit is in desperate need of updating. Broken table on patio, couch is cheap and uncomfortable, guest bed makes noise every time you move. Air conditioning unit was leaking. We had to drain it. We’ve stayed at Waterscape for years. Never have we had a unit like this. Plus the key pad quit working temporarily and we were locked out and no one returned our calls. Thankfully it finally started working again. We won’t be staying here again.

We have stayed at waterscape they last 2 years the same exact week and there has always been a heated pool, during our stay the water was so cold it was unbearable to so many people. We didn’t get to utilize it as much as we have in the past which was disappointing. The front desk said it doesn’t get turned on until November but the past 2 first weeks in October it has been. Also the living room future very uncomfortable and seems fragile and unsturdy. We did appreciate the beach chairs in the closet tho!

Fun Times

It was great. We where there with others for the usssa softball tournament. The access to the beach and pools was great. It’s was fun and felt safe with the kids. Pools nice and clean. Would go back there in a heartbeat. Loved the parking also. Was able to park right by room.

Condo C603

The overall check in process was easy and smooth. However, the condo is over priced. There was mold in the restroom and the kitchen, the dryer doesn’t work, the screen was broken to the balcony, and the overall condo wasn’t cleaned to my liking. The seating at the dining table was stained and there was dirt on the master bedroom floor. For the price the condo definitely need some work. The property location is good, the pools were clean, the view from the condo is amazing, and easy beach access.

Love Waterscape, but this unit was TERRIBLE!

This unit… where do I start? It had broken doors to the balcony, the lamps didn’t have bulbs, the tv remotes all needed to have batteries replaced( we had no working bathtub to bathe our children for the first part of the stay. It was terrible. Oh, and the roaches…. Let’s not even talk about that. I have photos… we killed at least 10. The property manager I spoke to lord and said the screen doors broke with the bad weather from the days prior, however, didn’t realize I was there in a different unit and seen the balcony the days prior and know it wasn’t broken. I’ve actually contacted my bank to dispute charges for the first time ever. This was a horrible stay!

We spent 2 days without hot water, wish there was an emergency number to get ahold of maintenance. Although someone did call/text back within 24 hrs, I wish we could of got quicker responses since we had no hot water for showers. Black mold appears on the ceiling above the shower in the master bath, and around the sliding door. Could of used more towels for 7 people. Condo was clean, pool area was clean, beach was beautiful. Lots of entertainment and restaurants in the area. Overall, we were not impressed for the cost of the unit.
