I arrived after 10 pm with no dinner and the front desk lady went in back and made me a sandwich without me requesting. âThis hotel is OK. Rooms are OK, location is OK, restaurant is OK. Nothing is fantastic about it. If you look for very "western" this is it. I would have liked a shorter walk to restaurants and bars, and a bit better state of maintenance, for the price. Friendly staff though, and nothing really to complain about.â

âThis is a beautiful little spot about a 20-minute walk from downtown Paramaribo. I also stayed downtown, and can surely say I much prefer being away from the noise and crowds of the city center. Villa Famiri is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. You can also walk to downtown though it's not a nice walk (no sidewalks, lots of trash and standing water, lots of traffic). They have a lovely common area and pool so it's great for relaxing. âAngithi at the front desk is very kind and nice. I was out of cash; the nearby cash machines were obviously out of service; and not even McDonaldâs accepts foreign credit cards.
