Stunning villa in stunning countryside
Beautiful old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored to a very high standard, and filled with lovely furniture and artwork. Several seating areas outside and a veranda where you can sit and look out over the fabulous view of the valley and mountains beyond. Thanks very much to Hennie, our host, for being on hand to help with arrival and departure and any questions we had. We would highly recommend the villa.

Abseits gelegenes Ferienhaus mit Pool
...ungestörtes, abseits im Grünen gelegenes -altes zum Ferienhaus umgebautes- Gebäude. Aufenthalt nur mit Auto (letzten 200m teils steiler Schotterweg) o.ä. empfehlenswert. Tolle Aussicht, nette persönliche Betreuung, auch bei großer Hitze durch den Pool und dicke massive Außenmauern sehr gut erträglich. Mit kurzen Autoanfahrten sehr schöne Wanderungen in der Umgebung vorhanden (z.B. Felsentor) -im Sommer nur früh morgens empfehlenswert-. Durch die Nähe zur Natur sind auch Insekten u.ä. im und am Haus.

Traumhafter Urlaub
Wunderschönes, sauberes, gepflegtes Haus in ruhiger und traumhafter Lage. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Sehr netter Kontakt und tolle Unterstützung von Hennie und Ihrem Mann vor Ort. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Beautiful house
I loved the house, a clasical italian one. Stunning view over the hills and valey. We loved to sit on the terrace. Due to many stairs, large pool and some wasps around I’d rather advise it for families with bigger kids (our were 6 and 9). You need to be prepared for ants, wasps, mosquitos and some scorpions, but it’s due to beautifull nature all around. No houses in direct neighbourhood. You will quickly get used to the narrow winding road, but be carefull because the locals drive bravely. Castelnuovo is about 15 min by car, there one can do shoping, eat gelato and have a nice walk. The local host, Hennie, is very nice and helpful. You can make an appointment with her in advance for a delicious meal. Down the road there is a good pizzeria. For pizza we also advise Pizzeria l'isola di Coppola in Castelnuovo. Some good local food and steaks you will find in Osteria al Ritrovo del Platano.

Great house in Toscane
Great house for vacation when you like the quite and peaceful surroundings of the Tuscany mountains. Great bedrooms with doors to the garden and the pool. Enough space for 6 adults. We were with 4 adults. Everything you need is available. Maybe a few more towels would be nice. Overall a great stay.

Einfach Perfekt
Wir sind einfach begeistert wie toll dieses Häuschen und die Umgebung ist. Die Lage ist ein Traum, man schaut in ein Tal und ist in absolut ruhiger Lage komplett allein. Wenn man Ruhe sucht wird man es so wie wir lieben. Das liebevoll restaurierte Bauernhaus ist sehr geräumig und alles ist in bester Ordnung. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Ob man am Pool liegt oder auf der kleinen Terrasse sitzt man kann sich von dem Ausblick nicht satt sehen. Es ist ein Traum. Und für die Kids ist es vielleicht auch wichtig das auf dem ganzen Grundstück das WLAN perfekt funktioniert. Unser lokale Ansprechpartnerin (Hennie) ist super Nett und war für die Übergabe ganz einfach zu erreichen. Alles hat perfekt geklappt. Da das Häuschen etwas abgelegen in den Hügeln liegt braucht man mit dem Auto ca. 15-20min ins Tal zum Einkaufen oder Essen. Also wir kommen sicher wieder. Es war ein so toller Urlaub für uns. Danke.

Traumhaus im Nirgendwo
Das Haus ist traumhaft und in Wirklichkeit noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Uns und unserer Familie hat es wunderbar gefallen. Man muss wissen, dass man immer ca 30 Minuten Berge hoch und wieder runter fährt, um schön essen gehen zu können oder einzukaufen. Beschenkt wird man dafür mit einer unberührten Natur. Im Haus und Garten selber lebt man mit Insekten - Mückenspray sollte im Gepäck sein. Die Stille rund um das Haus wird nur durch Vogelzwitschern unterbrochen. Die Sonne begleitet einen den ganzen Tag und auf den unterschiedlichsten Terrassen kann man immer zwischen Sonne oder Schatten wählen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Entspannung Pur im Norden der Toskana
Wir hatten für eine Woche eine super entspannte Zeit in den Bergen im Norden der Toskana. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und bemühen sich, damit man eine schöne Zeit hat. Bei der Anreise waren sogar ein paar Kleinigkeiten eingekauft wurden, damit man erst einmal versorgt ist. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und abgeschieden, dafür ist das nächste Lokal leider nur mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Ruhe ist Entspannung pur, allerdings sollte man sich darauf einstellen, das man immer mit dem Auto fahren muss. Uns hat es sehr gefallen.

Merveilleuse maison !!!
La Canpana est un merveilleux endroit pour passer des vacances tranquilles et agréables en famille. La maison a beaucoup de charme, elle est très bien entretenue et correspond tout à fait avec la description du site (sauf le bain à remous que n'avons pas vu, mais dont nous n'avions pas besoin). La piscine est très grande et très bien entretenue. Suite à la discussion que nous avons eu avec la très serviable gérante, Geran, la maison est classée ce qui empêche la pose de moustiquaires et il faut être attentif à bien gérer les fenêtres ouvertes en soirée. Les discussion avec les propriétaires et la gérante ont été cordiales et efficaces. Nous avons pu avoir des réponses rapides à nos questions avant et pendant le séjour. Evidemment, une voiture est obligatoire pour l'accès à la maison située dans la montagne (avec une magnifique vue) et pour faire les visites (nombreuses et variées) et les courses. Nous remercions vivement Geran et Giulia pour notre séjour très réussis et très agréable!

herrliche Ruhelage
La Copinna ist ein sehr schönes Haus mitten in den Hügeln, ruhig gelegen, so richtig zum entspannen. Man merkt die Liebe zum Detail, die bei der Renovierung angewendet wurde. Für Einkaufen etc muss man ein Stück mit dem Auto fahren, Lucca und Pisa sind gut erreichbar.

fantastic stay
The house is really great. You have several places to lay back and enjoy the magnificant view. The interior is tastefull. The kids loved the large pool. A disadvantage is the road to the house. It is small road and the last part to the house is bumpy. The environment is beautifull but for the sea and the favorited towns Pisa and Florence you have to drive a bit. The service of Geran is splendid. Thank you so much!

Casa bellissima
La casa è stupenda e molto pulita. Completa di tutto quello che serve. La piscina è bella e ben tenuta ce la siamo goduta molto. Bisogna essere davvero amanti della natura perché si trovano parecchi animali anche dentro casa soprattutto scorpioni! Consiglierei delle zanzariere alle finestre che è l'unica cosa che manca. La strada per arrivare è stretta e l'ultimo pezzo è sterrato e con alcune buche. Tutti i paesi nei dintorni sono caratteristici della Toscana con ottimo cibo.

the place is even better than I expected. there's nothing wrong with it! I would suggest 4wd vehicle if possible for the driveway! and bug spray as it's quite buggy in tuscany in june! also- arrive during the day, it is very hard to find it in the dark. all best

We stayed for two weeks at the end of August, 2018. We were looked after by the property manager, Geran, who was incredibly helpful, and guided us on where to go and what to see. Our stay would not have been nearly as good without her help, so thank you! As for the owners, very approachable and helpful. Response times to emails very quick. The villa is situated in the hills overlooking Gallicano and the mountains on the other side of the valley. The view is incredible. The villa itself is a spacious 3 bedroomed converted stone built barn that is very nicely appointed. Has everything you need and very comfortable, Being stone meant that despite the hot weather, up to high 30s, the building itself stays pretty cool. This is useful as there is no air con, but it really isn’t needed and there are fans if some coolng really is required. The pool is large enough, and although solar heated, pretty warm when we went. Had more trouble keeping the kids out of the pool than anything else. They loved it. We spend quite a lot of our time seeing Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Barga. All beautiful and worth visiting. For this, we hired a car, and this is essential, but it’s worth mentioning that the mountain roads are narrow and winding, so you want to be confident and comfortable driving in Europe, I would love to see this place in winter as ski fields are quite close, but the drive to the villa might be interesting! For the mundane side of things, there is a big supermarket close by for day to day stuff, and plenty of options further afield.

Nous avons adoré la maison : beaucoup de charme, en parfait état, tout a été prévu pour des vacances parfaites (à part quelques moustiques 😉) La vue est époustouflante et le calme du lieu très agréable après nos visites.

The property is very comfortable and well equipped. The pool is a good size enabling one to have proper exercise. The area is very attractive and sparsely populated but there are good restaurants not too far away. In short, an ideal place in which to holiday.

Tuscany Farmhouse.
This farmhouse situated in the beautiful Apenau Mountains (part of the Appennines) is absolutely charming. It is rustic but beautifully decorated and with all modern conveniences. It is a serene setting perfect for relaxing and forgetting our hectic world. The little hill towns in the surrounding area are quaint, picturesque and inviting. The nearby city of Lucca is a medieval marvel with a well preserved city wall. But the shopping is all 21st century. We loved our stay and hope to come back.
