LOCATION - Located on a 66 acre ranch 37 miles west of Fredericksburg & 14 miles west of Harper
HOSTS - No host on premises—cottage all to yourselves
SLEEPS - 2 people in a king bedroom
BATH - 1 bath w/ a bathtub
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped kitchen w/ a Keurig Coffeemaker
BREAKFAST - Continental breakfast provided as well as coffee and teas
AMENITIES - Smart TV, DVD player, WiFi, gas fireplace, outdoor seating, picnic table, gas grill, located on a 66 acre ranch w/ 7 longhorns on the property

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will be visible.

Check in super easy. This cabin is remote so bring anything you may want with you. Family Dollar is closest thing to a grocer for miles. But, once you are on the property, it is ideal place to unplug and relax. Very happy with our choice and will return

It was so peaceful and quiet. We needed that little recharge:) The longhorns were fun to watch and to feed. I personally am a little scared of cows, so the gentleness of those huge babies was a relief for me. We would absolutely go back to enjoy the quiet again.

All I can say is "wow"!

I brought my 17yo son out to West Texas for a father and son getaway and we had a spectacular time at your property. Our primary reason to coming out to the area was to fish/kayak the South Llano River, which we did and had an amazing time. I have to say we had equally as good of a time just hanging out at the ranch. It was comparable to a zoo with all the animals we saw. My son had an amazing time feeding the animals, fishing in the pond and just enjoying the property. The house was very well stocked. We will definitely be back. Scott R Spring, TX

This was a wonderful, relaxing, secluded location.

This was location was true to its listing. Comfortable, clean, everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Beautiful sunset views and lots of animals. Counted up to 16 deer hanging around. The longhorns are fun. Also saw a fox, roadrunner, rabbits, hog, and lots of different birds. Good for stargazing but would have been better without barn lights on. Away from civilization but good anchor point - we made day trips to Fredericksburg, Kerrville, South Llano State Park/Junction and Garner State Park. We loved the quietness of the location and would stay here again. :) Great place to slow down and relax.

Great Getaway

A great place to get away from it all and relax. We really enjoyed giving treats to the cows. We are Birdwatchers so usually venture over to Junction for some Birdwatching and BBQ but since it was cold and wet this time we just hung around the bunkhouse. We love the decor in the bunkhouse, very well furnished, had everything we needed. Thanks for letting us stay here.

Perfect spot for a stargazing excursion

I stayed at the Run Away Ranch for a weekend of stargazing, and it was absolutely perfect. The bunkhouse had everything that I needed, as well as some very nice upgrades. The bed was super-comfortable--the best night's sleep I've had in a while! WiFi worked great. The Longhorns were beautiful, as were the deer, and helped keep me company on my weekend alone. And the owners were so kind to let me move my weekend due to the weather. Would absolutely stay here again!

Simply Amazing

This was the perfect place to celebrate 29 years of marriage. The bunkhouse was just wonderful and the longhorn and deer are a special treat. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely Perfect!!!

Let me start of by saying WOW!!! Completely exceeded our expectations! Our stay here at the cabin was a perfect get away from the big city. Super clean with all the amenities you will ever need. The Longhorns, the deer and the bunnies were so enjoyable. The Longhorns ate right out of our hands and was excited to see us when we returned. We will definitely stay here again! Quiet and Peaceful!!

Excellent Getaway to Recharge

The Cabin was everything and more. After over a year of quarantine, Illness and medical issues, this was the perfect place to get away from it all. It was very homey. We loved the cabin and especially loved being able to watch the deer and feed the Longhorns. We will definitely be back!!!

A great peaceful getaway.

A great place to get away from it all, located off the besten path in the Texas hill Country. We loved feeding the Longhorns and Deer, also had Jackrabbits and Birds to watch too. We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary here, a great quiet place to be out together at. We loved the decor in the Bunkhouse, so many great ideas for decor. This place is very well furnished, includes everything that you need. We definitely plan on coming back, thanks for letting us stay here and celebrating our anniversary. Steve and Teri Snyder
