Cozy Waterfront Yurt with Heated Floors, full heat and AC, bathroom, Kitchenette

Retreat to the hills of French Lick in The Lazy Creek Yurt. Inside the front door you will find modern amenities including radiant heated floors, full bathroom, full kitchen, and satellite TV. Start your day off with a warm beverage or breakfast on the back deck overlooking the private pond. Located in a secluded setting yet only 5 miles from downtown French Lick, winery, restaurants, and casino. 12 miles from Hoosier Hills Marina on 26,000 acre Patoka Lake.

A few things to note - given the remote nature of this property, there is not currently internet in the area. We are on the waitlist for Starlink and hope to have it soon. Cell service can also be spotty in and around the yurt depending on the day and age of the device being used. There is one large hill on the gravel county road leading back to the yurt. I take my Ford Fusion Hybrid back there all the time so access isn’t an issue outside of heavy snow conditions but want guests to be aware of the terrain.

Great location

We had never stayed in a yurt before. It was surprisingly comfy for my husband and I. We’d stay again, but it could use a little work. The bed was so amazing, along with the linens. You are staying in the country so insects inside the yurt was pretty much unavoidable. The tv was super confusing so we just watched Netflix on our iPad. Owner was very responsive, but no great instructions for the tv or check out expectations. A little elbow grease, a new shower curtain liner, new outdoor cushions and upkeep would make this an amazing stay! Our pups loved it too!

This was such a great little place to escape the chaos. Thunderstorms kept us indoors but we didn’t mind. Enjoyed listening to the rainfall and the frogs while we worked jigsaw puzzles. A very relaxing weekend and the yurt was cozy. Would definitely stay here again.

Getaway

Lovely location surrounded by nature. Saw deer in the driveway of the yurt after our outing to French Lick and local wineries. Great location and wonderful for couples that want to get away and unplug!

Excellent secluded site

I was a lil skeptical never stayed in a yurt it was beautiful,cozy abd very secluded. Much needed peace and quiet and enjoying the nature setting with pond.Would definitely recommend if you just need to relax next time we may bring our dog with us and fishing poles.

Perfect Getaway

My fiancé and I came from Ireland to stay for a week long visit with family. Matt had the yurt set up perfectly for us with all the amenities we needed! It was extremely hot the whole week, but the A/C unit cooled the space quickly and easily. We highly recommend this place for a quiet, clean and nature-filled getaway.

Great place to disconnect and relax. just a few miles from convenience but far enough to feel secluded. so beautiful and the nature around the place is so pretty. I could sit, read books, do puzzles, and watch nature all day for days here.

Perfect stay for two!

My husband and I stayed here for a fall weekend getaway. It is the perfect location if you are looking to be near French Lick. It was quiet and scenic. We even had some deer visit us!

Lt Ripleys Kids stayed at the Yurt

Peace and quiet. We love the privacy and pond was a nice swim. We could leave our bikes outside and was not worried about them getting stolen. The dust was bad on the inside. The oven was not clean. Water left in the coffee maker from other guest. This tells me that the house keeping was poor. We cleaned it up and made it our own for 4 nights. We did not use the oven. The frigidaire should have been wipe out. It was not. The dog poop holder was not cleaned out after other quest left. All new appliance. It is a nice set up and is not hard to clean. We still loved the Yurt and was able to work the services dogs there.

Absolutely amazing!

Far exceeded our expectations! Secluded, comfy, quiet, air conditioning worked so well in 98 degree heat! I can't say enough great things about this property! This is one of the most intriguing places my husband and I have ever stayed. I would highly recommend it.

Comfy

Cute and cozy for two! We went when it was low of 30 degrees and it was still perfect. Bed and pillows are comfy.. Few neighbors but pretty secluded. Wish they had few extra towels and kitchen supplies incase some was forgotten.
