Extremely clean hotel. Staff was very nice when I needed towels at 930 at night I didn’t have the breakfast but they did tell me it was available but had to pay minus coffee and tea. Overall I would stay again

I found a cockroach in my room. This was the worse experience I’ve had in a hotel. I talked to the manager about it, he told me they were doing a deep cleaning on the room. which was NEVER done. They didn’t clean the room just change the sheets and put new towels. I notified the manager at 9am and by 5 my room was untouched.I felt like the manager didn’t care about what I told him until I went back downstairs and talked to him again. And then I had to wait tired for them to do it.

I always tried to stay in the hotel when I visit my son who is in college. This time a did not have a good experience. First of all the Airconditioning of the room had very loud sound every time it turn on. In my opinion the system is very old. Also I requested to the front new towels and shampoo and it never arrived.

I have stayed at this location two years ago and it was great. This visit, I was surprised at how much wear and tear is all around. Stains, scuffs, paint chips, etc. Our room had a bad wet musty smell and when the staff member moved us to another room, it was just as bad. We considered leaving but it was late and we were exhausted. Also, refrigerator began a loud, shrill noise in the middle of the night. We had to turn it off to stop it. The ironic thing is that there were so many other hotels close to us, with even lower rates that we could have (and should have) chose, but we chose Aloft due to our visit two years ago. We go to Gainesville often and I am sad to see that the Aloft has gone down in quality. I will say that the staff was nice.

A few odd experiences left me less than impressed. Checked in to be told that they didn’t have enough keys and mobile key didn’t work so I was dependent on having them walk me to my door. (Thankfully that was resolved by the next morning). Then the safe didn’t work, ran out of body wash and shampoo on day 2. When I put in a request I waited all day and nothing. Then I went down and asked for someone again to get these replaced as I needed a shower, still nothing for another 2 hours.. I finally asked housekeeping in the hallway and she helped me. Workers were nice but I was frustrated that they do the bare minimum to get by

Staff were super friendly and very kind and thoughtful I can’t give a higher rating than a 3 because as far as a Marriot property which I thought this was, there was a few problems Some might have just been bad luck but others are not and why it’s a 3 out of 5 The first room stunk the high heaven of dog and I asked to change the room. 2nd room wasn’t much better smelling so I didn’t want to go complain and just tried not to sweat it, it was going to be just one night. The other issue was someone above was incredibly loud allowing their door to slam shut, and if that was a few times no problem but it continued well past 1am (bad luck part) Other than that honestly the room was not well cleaned. It wasn’t completely gross but there was lots of dust on the bed rails and not what I would expect at a Marriott but I think nobody had pride in their work anymore maybe? Bed was a bit stiff but not terrible. But again not all bad the staff were really nice, parking was easy and they did provide a couple free drinks which was thoughtful Overall though the dog smell in the room was the most memorable downside Just a 3 from us.

Amazing Holiday stay
This was a truly amazing experience the manger emailed us before arriving wishing us a happy holiday stay on site. At check in and thought out the stay the staff provided excellent service gold stars to all.

We usually stay at another hotel when visiting but liked the better location of the Marriott. The price was better too. The staff was super friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
