  • Newnans Lake ligger 8 km från centrala Gainesville, 7 miles från UF-campus och 8 miles från Gainesville Regional Airport. Newnans Lake är Gainesvilles bäst bevarade hemlighet med rikligt med natur och djurliv. Jag kallar det mitt paradis. Denna 1250 kvm ft övervåningen lägenhet har utsikt över vår egen citruslund. Det finns ett stort koi-damm på fastigheten med vattenfall. Mycket lugnt och lugnt här. Du är omgiven av originella konstverk i hela lägenheten. Detta är ett bra ställe att varva ner från din hektiska dag. Vi har till och med en tvättmaskin och torktumlare tillgängliga. Din vistelse här kommer att bli minnesvärd. LGBTQ vänlig. Great host! My husband and I were visiting for a football game and the location could not have been more perfect! We were far enough from the noise but it didn’t take long to get to the university. The property is beautiful & secluded. The host did an excellent job making us feel welcome and at home.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. We throughly enjoyed our 3 nights at this delightful apartment. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The apartment was clean and well equipped with everything you need. The area was teaming with wildlife. Bring your own K-cups for morning coffee. Ask your host about Micanopy, It’s a beautiful little town not far away. Wouldn’t hesitate to book a stay here again if we’re in the area.

Very quiet place. We saw a rafter of turkeys as well as koi in the small pond. Appliances all worked very well and the shower was excellent. We would stay here again.

Hands down the best host I've had! When you arrive, Greg will give you a tour of the wonderful property. Throughout our stay he was so kind and attentive, while also respecting our privacy. The apartment is very nice and is separate from the main house. Additionally, the property is absolutely beautiful, and we even got to pick fresh figs from tree in the yard! If you're planning to visit Gainesville, stay here, you won't regret it!

Gorgeous property, with stunning grounds, beautiful cottage with everything wonderfully provided. Owner is nearby; and super responsive if needed. Perfect place to just relax, or use a base to explore Gainesville and the surrounding area.

This place was amazing, had everything and more! We were there for 3 nights and it flew by, wishing we had more time to explore all around and enjoy the mornings on the porch watching the wild animals roam so peacfully.

I was very happy with my stay. Host and met us upon arrival and gave us a quick informative tour of property and close by activities, which we took advantage of. The unit was very clean, equipped with everything you need and comfortable. It was very pleasant every morning and evening sitting outside surrounded by nature that was strolling thru the yard , such as deer, turkeys and all many kinds of birds. Price was more than reasonable especially with great access to Gainesville, Micanopy and Paynes Pairie. Will definitely stay again.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights while we learned about Gainesville and UF. We enjoyed this host and his property! Beautiful, peaceful setting close to town but the feeling of being in the country. Many animals to see. The lake is beautiful. The property was very clean, well stocked, full of historical artifacts and culture! Will stay again!!!!

Calming getaway from the hustle and bustle, yet still a quick drive to the university, downtown and Archer Road area. Apartment is very cozy, peaceful, and we enjoyed the nature including all the birds and even saw a ton of turkeys. Greg was very hospitable and we will definitely be back when we visit Gainesville again.

Greg is an excellent and attentive host. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us the grand tour of the apartment and the grounds. We met the koi and the turkeys and enjoyed fresh oranges from the orchard. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bikes were a great bonus - we rode down to the lake and hung out with the alligators and the birds. If we're ever in the Gainesville area again, we'll definitely stay here.

10/10! My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and were both sad to leave! We felt welcomed, and comfortable in the apartment and surroundings. The wildlife and koi pond were delightful as were the artwork and history displayed inside. Very clean, slept well, awesome shower, and the kitchen has everything you could need. This was a great place to relax on the porch watching and listening for birds as well as a jumping off point for walking Paynes Prairie and touring UF. We hope to return!! Thank you, Greg!
