First off, I was bitten by BED BUGS on my arm and back that required me to see my PCP when I got back home. I have an extensive rental history and this is the first time this has ever happen to me! Wile the house was generally clean, I was not expecting this. I shared this with the host and VRBO directly and hope they get this resolved. At first we thought the house was very cute and accommodating. Then then host's husband banged on the door the first morning startling everyone. (By the way, the hosts live next door.) He asked about messages I didn't respond to via the VRBO app and that we required approval for the types of dogs we have. I let him know the only emails I received was the rental approval and the check-in details. Afterwards, I reviewed the app and found messages that I received no notifications on and let the host know. I did see where the host requires prior approval for pets but the wording didn't initially make sense. For instance "MB" was an acronym used. I later figured it must stand for "must be." Really weird in my opinion, but okay. I apologized to Kathy about the confusion and she admitted that has has experienced communication issued with VRBO as well. I really hate to provide a bad review but I just can't get over getting bitten by bed bugs. Good luck.

Love this cute historic house. It has everything to make your stay comfortable. Loved the fenced in back yard and the front porch too! Short walk to the beach and many fabulous bars and restaurants. Hopefully will be back next year!

This was our 2nd time to stay here and I’m sure we will be back. Such a perfect place to stay for our family of 3. House was very clean, well maintained and stocked with a lot of “extras”. Had a fantastic weekend here with my wife and our dog. More amenities provided by the hosts than any other vrbo we’ve stayed in. Cozy & peaceful in a great location. Perfect for a couple or family staying in Galveston.

Nice house, good location

Very clean, historic house a short walk from the beach in a quiet neighborhood. Well-kept and secure backyard and deck for a dog. There’s a grill but we didn’t use it given all the great restaurants and patios in Galveston.

Quiet street

Seaside Delight is a wonderful home on an unusually quiet street. Home is well equipped and spacious. The extra half bath is a great addition. Beautiful historic details in the home. Host Kathy was in touch easily but honestly we didn’t anything. Easy access to the beach and restaurants. One of the best rentals I’ve ever experienced

Snowbird sanctuary

Galveston Beach Vacation

Cute house on quiet street

Family of 4 adults, 1 child and a dog enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Everything was clean, and brightly painted. The beach and great restaurants are in walking distance, but the kitchen was also well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy some home cooked meals too.

Lovely home!

Such a cute and comfy place to stay! Loved all the “extras” in the kitchen and bathroom. Love the location and cleanliness. Host was so very nice. The only thing I would change is a way to darken the front bedroom. Love the lead glass window but hard to sleep in when the sun comes up. Would definitely stay here again!

Worth six points!

I gave the best ratings for all the above features, but Kathy went above and beyond in so many ways. Two different kinds of coffee makers - wow! Everything in the kitchen we could hope for! Very communicative and accommodating! Furnished with the comfort of guests in mind.

Am a fan of historic architecture and this was the first time I got to live in a historically significant home in an historic neighborhood. The icing was that this was in Galveston. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking during a month long stay. Kathy is an attentive landlord available to answer all questions. Will be recommending to family and friends.
