Welcome to Sunset Escapes, this Cozy Beach Cottage was built in 1910 and is nestled in the Historic District on sunny Galveston Island. The charming home has a prime location. It is about a 7 minute walk to the Seawall/Beach and about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive the Historic Strand.

GALVESTON ATTRACTIONS: Pleasure Pier (1 mile), Seawall (less than 1/2 mile), Galveston Fishing Pier (5.6 miles), Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Moody Gardens (6.2 miles), Cruise Terminal (1.3 miles)

BEACHES: Galveston Beach/Seawall Blvd. (0.5 miles), Stewart Beach (1.2 miles), East Beach (2.6 miles), Galveston Island State Park (13 miles)

Perfect little cottage for 1 or 2 people. Everything you need is there. Having a washer/dryer was super helpful after getting caught outside in massive thunderstorm during visit to the island.

It's a cute little cottage. Comfortable. Good location. Well equipped. All good. And when we made an error in our reservation the owner (or manager?) was most gracious in correcting it to our advantage. Very nice. Would rent it again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Lindsey’s place! The home was so quaint and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special and welcoming. From the cozy décor to the helpful home booklet, Lindsey thought of everything — including step-by-step photos for things like the fold-out couch and grill, plus great recommendations for local restaurants and activities.The location was perfect — tucked into a sweet, quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the beach. We loved being able to rollerblade along the seawall, enjoy the outdoor seating in the little side yard, and stroll down to the Pleasure Pier for a night of roller coasters and ocean views. Our new pup Nina loved the beach!Lindsey was incredibly kind and responsive throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was amazing and deco was beautiful. The owner definitely took the time to think about what is needed for a comfortable stay. The yard is perfect to sit back and relax after a day at the beach. Close to the Seawall, and loved the recommendations for places to visit and eat in the welcome under. You will not regret booking this cute cottage, will definitely book again. Thanks Lindsey for making our trip to Galveston even more enjoyable!

Son's 21st Deep Sea Birthday

This trip was my son's 21st birthday celebration. My fiancé & I took him deep sea fishing for red snapper. This house made the stay perfect! It was clean, smelled amazing, and had everything we could possibly need, including Monopoly which is my son's favorite game. All the details we could possibly need were provided in a folder on the table. I am so impressed with this location and the house, I will definitely return. Btw, the neighbor was even super kind, saying great things about the owner. She even found my silver bracelet that fell off outside. It was a great time for all of us.

Charming and a Wonderful Stay!

The property was a lovely little Shotgun Style house just as advertised. Had lots of charm with decor and furnishings befitting this style and its beach area locale. Owner provided everything we needed for comfortable stay. All nicely organized. Bravo! We were sorry to have to move on. Loved the vibe. Wish we knew more about its renovation and the history of the property.

Quaint getaway

Cute little 1BR house blocks from the beach. Pretty convenient to everything, even if you’re walking. Lots to see. Easy check-in, very cozy. Would highly recommend. Host was very quick to respond when we asked questions. Very informative directions in a nice booklet. Everything was provided that you would need. Excellent experience.

Perfect Getaway!

We adored this beach cottage, sometimes beach rentals feel a bit cheap or lack a comforting energy - this was not the case here. We felt immediately at home, as did our dog (who typically waits until the last 5 minutes of a trip to feel safe!)! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay and plan to be back in the future. We loved the abundance of windows which brightened up the space and made it feel larger, and loved that there was a sound machine in the bedroom!
