A truly unique and truly amazing condo located at the Maravilla complex – where close to $2M was recently spent updating and upgrading the aquatic facilities to be the best on Galveston island. Three pools and 2 hot tubs. From the balconies of this condo you can see 2 of the pools – one being one of the largest in all of Galveston with 330,000 gallons of water and a palm tree that literally grows out of the center island of the pool – tanning ledges, awesome lounge chairs, and a palappa should you need to get some shade. The second west pool is zero entry – easy for the littles to get in and out, and another fantastic tanning option. Between these two pools you’ll find one of the two hot tubs. On the east side of the complex you’ll find the heated pool with a new huge hot tub. This option offers a splash pad for the littles as well – many come for the beaches but never leave because of the fantastic facilities that the Maravilla complex has to offer.
Inside the condo you’ll find three king suites – each just a little different in its en-suite offerings but each relaxing in it’s own right, and decorated so as to catch your eye but not be over the top.
The spacious kitchen with everything – and we do mean EVERYTHING you could need from preparing gourmet meals to warming up leftovers from any of Galveston’s amazing restaurants (need suggestions – just ask, we’re happy to help!) from silverware to cookware, dishware to glassware, and a full suite of full-sized appliances. You can bring everything or pack light as this amazing condo includes its own washer/dryer, too! (A rare find in a condominium!) The kitchen opens to the living room with seating for all weather movie night or family game night, or just relaxing as you gaze out the sliding door to 1 of the two balconies that overlooks the tropical grounds of the complex. Or step out and enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. If one of you HAS to cook – call the family in from the pool, or head down and use one of the grills around the pool area and have a picnic at the tables provided for guest use.
In the living room you’ll also find – get this – a KING SIZED sleeper sofa! So the condo is truly designed to host a large group or family, or families who vacation generationally – or friends who travel together – and no one gets “jipped” out of a large bed.
Kiddos? Yes – there are true twin bunk beds built in to the entry alcove across from one of the three amazing king bedrooms. So you can sleep 10 on beds – and if you have a couple of smaller ones – you can bring a pack and play or an air mattress or two as the complex will allow up to 12 guests in this condo. And you’ll have plenty of room and everything you need to do it. (Please remember we provide towels and bedding for the 10 that we have beds for, so if you are bringing extra sleepers, you’ll need to bring extra gear as well.)

The Maravilla is a condominium complex of 164 privately owned condos. Some of the owners live here full-time, others use it as their personal Galveston Getaway and others, like the owners of Sun Kissed, offer it to Galveston visitors. PARKING/RESORT/AMENITIES - The Maravilla complex (not My Galveston Getaway) charges a fee that is $10 per vehicle per day up to a maximum of $70 per vehicle per month. Again - we have no control over this charge and almost every complex on the island has a fee of some sort that is charged for use of these amenities.
My Galveston Getaway provides starter supplies of toiletries, paper products, dish cleaning options and coffee to get our guests started and situated before making their shopping lists and determining which shopping option works best for their group. These supplies are not intended to last your entire group the duration of your stay - but to get started! We also provide one bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth for each guest that the unit sleeps, along with 2 dish towels.
We used to provide beach towels, too – but they tended to go home with our guests as souvenirs and it became quite expensive. As a result – we have beach towels that are available and the only charge we have is for the extra laundry that is involved when washing them. For this unit the cost is $40 for 10 beach towels during your stay. We will ask for a credit card to hold on file in the event they are not left at the property upon guest departure. Please let us know in advance if you wish for us to have beach towels left prior to your arrival. Should you wish to have additional housekeeping services during your stay or to have linen swaps during your stay, these can be arranged with advance notice upon request at an additional cost.
There is currently construction going on in one building of the complex. This does not affect the condo you are reserving from us or any of the amities of the complex. After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.
Galveston is a barrier island in Texas located on the Gulf of Mexico. From time to time we have unexpected rain, thunderstorms, and sometimes we do have tropical storms and hurricanes. From time to time there may be brief interruptions in electricity and WiFi services due to weather. You should consider purchasing trip interruption or cancelation protection through the platforms or another source. We are unable to guarantee sunny days, mosquito free nights and perfect weather, nor do we refund for these possibilities. We issue refunds in the event of mandatory evacuations issued by a governmental agency, or for the property being unavailable due to damages and extended power outages. Trip cancelation and interruption coverage is available through most booking platforms as well as through private vendors found on the world wide web should you wish to purchase such a policy.

Cancellation policy: If your cancelation is received more than 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, there is a $100 cancelation fee, the remainder is refundable. If your reservation is cancelled 14-30 days prior to your scheduled arrival date there is a $100 cancelation fee, 50% of the remainder is refundable. If your cancelation is made between arrival and 13 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, there will be no refund issued.
