On the way in to the hotel we were advised by another guest to ask for toilet paper, blankets, and towels because these items were not appropriately provided in the room. They were correct. We found trash on the floor near the bed and the previous guest’s dirty clothes in the closet on the floor. The room smelled like someone had smoked marijuana in there and sprayed something to try and cover it up. The vending machine I used dispensed HOT bottles of soda. The breakfast was not good. The coffee was bad. This is an older building and does not have an elevator. The staff was very good about helping us with our luggage to our 2nd floor room.

I didn't like the fact that there wasn't blankets on the bed in the bathtub with and drain, but I really like the pool. The breakfast could have been a little better

Property is crooks willing to take money from a card but not willing to use the same card for check-in. Rude customer service to people traveling hours to stay there.. and they do not advertise you have to pay to park there $15 a night extra Or you get towed. They are literally just in the business of taking money and not actually caring for the customer. I won't be looking at any property owned by this company no more sad experience

$30.00 extra charge for early check in. Room had a lot of water damage bldg needs painting. Door need in repair. Hotel not worth $205.00 will not recommend hotel to anyone. Hotel is a white elephant.

Tv didn't work, no sound. No elevator but staff took our luggage upstairs, the shampoo, and bath lotion empty and had to ask for toilet tissue.

We stayed at this property one night before boarding our cruise. I had my 73 year old parents with me and they put us on the 3rd floor. This would not be a problem at all, but THEY DO NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR. So, we all had to carry our full size suitcases up 3 floors to get to our rooms. I would definitely find another property to stay at in Galveston! We paid $415 for 2 rooms and guest services could care less about our complaints. I truly thought Wyndham was a respected name, but I will never stay at another one of their properties again.

Limited parking making parking near room impossible. Construction in front . Parking in front for check in and out was crazy. Not enough. I was charged extra 5.00 and was told that was a pending charge that would drop off. After 2 weeks I called again, was told he would remove, which he did then he charged me again 2 more times for total of 10.00. I will never stay at that property again. There’s a group of us that stay in Galveston every 2-5 months I’ve expressed to them about the property.

They have bed bugs. I got chewed. The room looked clean until I woke up covered in welts from bed bugs. The outside of the property is neglected. I do not recommend this hotel. Too bad bcs it is across the street from the beach.

Having to pay to park was asking a bit much after you have to pay to stay. Cost me another 75 dollars just to be able park at the hotel

Floors were gritty, Fossett for sink broken, only a sheet no coverlet on bed, charged $15 to park and parking lot was under construction so had to Park in street , the air conditioner made a horrible noise when it turned on could not sleep and no elevator just stairs to second and third floors. I made a bad choice.

Would not recommend this property. Hair dryer did not worth, they changed our door lock because we could not get it open, no conditioner in the shower, tub drain did not work properly, floor dirty. All property needs a coat of paint and a total cleaning.

Horrible the place is falling apart and the only good thing is the staff. The staff is attentive and try their best given their very limited resources due to the hotel that is falling apart.

Staff was wonderful. Felt safe and comfortable, staff was accommodating to our late arrival, due to delayed flight. Checked in at 2am. Downfall would be no WiFi during our 2 day stay, beds & construction site obstructing our beach view. Over all, very pleased.

Love that it's conveniently across the street from the beach. The outer appearance, however, makes you wonder about par standards. Check-in started with waiting in a very long line. Only two behind the counter and one was training. It gave me a chamce to rrad reciews. Initially, we wwre given keys to one room, wjich was actually occupied by the couple next to us in line. The new keys put us on the opposite side side of the hotel. The check-in process took over an hour. The room looked better on the inside, thankfully. I assured my travel buddy it's just one night. I did see a roach in the bathroom (as i read in other reviews). $15/day for parking and hot breakfast is served. Staff was apologetic and friendly.

Very strict on 4 PM check in resulting in a long line to check in (took over 45 minutes standing in line). Very dirty in room. Floor and tub were dirty. Bed was too soft. Out of toilet paper.

This hotel is in the prime location right across from the beach and could have SO much potential if they would invest in it. Instead we arrived to a disgusting hotel. While checking in a homeless man clearly on drugs was going through bags at the door for almost 30 minutes before staff told him to leave. We got to our room and didn't have any toilet paper or towels. They wouldn't bring us any so we had to go back to the front desk to get it. There isn't enough parking for this hotel. People partied outside our door all night. The shower/tub was baking up and wouldn't drain. If you're looking for a cheap hotel then this is it. Hopefully they take the time to make this a quality beachfront hotel and not a dump.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The attempt to clean the room could have been done better by a kindergarten student -- there were crumbs on the desks and floors, bobby-pins and garbage laying around. Don't even get me started on what the bathroom looked like. The bedding was stained and filled with hair and what looked like bugs. Absolutely appalling. The only positive thing I can note about this hotel is how quickly they agreed to refund our money when we said we were leaving - immediately upon checking in and seeing the disgusting condition of the rooms. Don't try to save money and stay here - do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

We found clothes left in the drawer, the stopper in the tub was broken and couldn't be used. $15 for parking when we have never had to pay at the other places plus many other houskeeping problems. Staff was wonderful.

I was unsure when I booked this with the reviews I saw. I reserved an executive suite. The outside of the building is a little run down. There is no elevator but only one floor of steps so not bad. Our room was nice and also clean. The complimentary breakfast was ok cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, milk. I would stay again.

It was cheap so we got what we paid for. Was not the cleanest. Floors and bathroom were gross. Orignally said they didn't have any rooms ready early whej we called ahead then we got there and asked again. Had pay an extra $50 to check in by noon not 4pm even though there were a ton of rooms ready. In the long run we paid too much for the quality. Location was okay, we Ubered to most things in the area. Across the street from the beach.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. There was no indication that I needed to pay $15 to park at the hotel I already paid for. The staff was not helpful at all. Someone was smoking pot next door to us. The room was clean but it was in desperate need of upkeep. The website did not show pictures that indicated how old and dilapidated this place was. We went to check out their continental breakfast and the selection was minimal so we decided to just check out. While at the desk, another customer asked the lady behind the desk if there were any more forks and was told no. The customer asked how she was supposed to eat the waffle she’d made and the lady told her there were spoons and knives.

Free breakfast, next to the beach and police doing it's rounds like it should. Friendly staff plus no bugs whatsoever. My partner really enjoyed herself here. Compare to others this is as clean as it gets for a budget.
