Next to the farmhouse, with a total area of 240 square meters, is the fascinating 12th century tower, 95 square meters on five levels. In the 15th century, the tower was inhabited by the cartographer Paolo Toscanelli dal Pozzo, who exercised a decisive influence on Christopher Columbus' decision to set out in search of the East Indies by sailing west. Inside there is a fully equipped kitchen with fireplace, a single bedroom, a living room, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and bidet. The arrangement on different levels is particularly fascinating.
